The school is set in over 20 acres of its own grounds. The school has around 700 pupils and serves the Ardler, St Mary's, Downfield, Kirkton and Trottick areas of Dundee. This area consists of a mixture of authority and privately owned housing.
Seagate bus station
Seagate bus station serves the city of Dundee, Scotland. Located five minutes' walk from the city centre, it has bus links to many Scottish towns and cities as well as links to London and other major English cities. Storage for bikes is available for free, and luggage can be stored across the road in Parky's Stores, Seagate, for a small fee. The bus station is located about 100 metres to the east of the site of the 1906 Dundee fire.
Powrie Castle
Powrie Castle is a 16th century castle located in the north of Dundee, Scotland. The castle was built in the early 16th century and later razed in 1548 by the English, then based in Balgillo, as part of the Rough Wooing. It was after this incident that the castle was rebuilt as two separate buildings forming a courtyard. The south wing was built as a Z-plan tower house with a vaulted ceiling. This building is now a ruin.

It offers a four year training from foundation level and prepares students for careers as dance performers, choreographers, and community artists. The School is relatively small (approx 100 students) and has close links with a variety of professional artists, including the Scottish Dance Theatre, and Thomas Small director of Smallpetitklein.

The northern and eastern buildings are where the family would have lived, with the servants occupying the southern quarters.
Craigiebank
Craigiebank is an area of eastern Dundee, Scotland. It borders three other areas of the city: West Ferry to the east, Pitkerro to the north, Baxter Park and East Port to the south-west. The Craigiebank housing estate was planned in 1918 as a garden suburb of the city, designed by City Architect James Thomson. At the centre of the estate was to be a group of community buildings, including a church, a college, shops and sports facilities.
Wellgate Centre
The Wellgate Shopping Centre is one of the two main shopping centres located in the city centre of Dundee, Scotland, the other being the Overgate Centre. It comprises three floors, including a food court. The centre has a variety of retailers and eateries, principally BHS which operates a two-level store at the entrance of the mall. The Dundee Central Library is even adjacent to the third floor of the centre, which is level with Victoria Road.
Lawside Academy
Lawside Academy was a state secondary school in Dundee, Scotland. It was a denominational school within the Catholic religious tradition, although it welcomed students from all religious backgrounds. It had a unique claim in that it was the northernmost state Catholic school in Europe. Lawside's successor, St. Paul's Academy, now holds that place. Lawside closed in June 2008, 101 years after it opened.

1906 Dundee fire
In July 1906, the city of Dundee was the site of a large fire caused by the ignition of a bonded warehouse. The fire, which burned for 12 hours, has been described as the most destructive fire in the history of Dundee. The fire was described by an eyewitness as sending "rivers of burning whisky" through the city.
A972 road
The A972 is a major road in Dundee, Scotland. It forms part of the dual carriageway known as the 'Kingsway', that runs through the northern part of Dundee. Its main function is to link the A90 road with the A92. At its western end, the A972 joins with the A90 at its Forfar road junction. Running eastward 0.5 km, the road meets with Pitkerro Road, then after a further 0.8 km, with the Mid Craigie Road roundabout.

Dundee Castle
Dundee Castle was a castle that was located in Dundee, Scotland. The site of the castle is now St. Paul's Cathedral. Dundee was created a royal burgh by King William the Lion in the 13th century. William Wallace laid siege to Dundee Castle in 1297, before the Battle of Stirling Bridge. The castle was captured again by the English in 1296 and again in 1303. King Edward I of England visited the castle both times and made repairs to the castle.

Mayfield Playing Fields, in Dundee, Scotland, is one of the sports grounds for the High School of Dundee and the home ground of rugby clubs Dundee High Rugby and its junior side, Dundee Eagles. It is situated 1.5 miles from the city centre, on Arbroath Road. Mayfield was formerly part of the grounds of Mayfield House, a mansion designed by Peddie and Kinnear and owned by William Dalgleish: by the 1880s, he had purchased the land to the east of his house from Robert McGavin of Ballumbie.
Caird Park Velodrome
The Caird Park Velodrome is a outdoor 402.25-metre concrete velodrome in Dundee, Scotland. Adjacent to the velodrome is a athletics stadium with a 400-metre running track, 18- and 9-hole golf courses, several football pitches and a rugby pitch, whilst in the centre of the velodrome is a football pitch, as it is one of two major outdoor sport complexes in the city. In 2012 Sportscotland spent £300,000 on redevelopment of the velodrome.
