Milton Ness

Milton Ness is a coastal landform along the coast of the North Sea approximately two miles south of the village of Johnshaven, Scotland. This headland feature includes a red sandstone cliff formation. Certain prehistoric features are found in the vicinity of Milton Ness, including the Stone of Morphie located somewhat to the west.

River North Esk

The North Esk is a river in Angus and Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It is formed by the meeting of the Water of Mark and the Water of Lee, and enters the North Sea four miles north of Montrose. It forms the boundary between Angus and Aberdeenshire at certain stages in its course. It was also noted in the 19th century as a good point for fishing.

Lauriston Castle stands on a clifftop site near the Aberdeenshire village of St Cyrus and just over a mile inland from the North Sea coast of Scotland.
