River Deveron

The River Deveron, known anciently as the Dovern, is a river in the north east of Scotland. The river has a length of 60 miles, and has a reputation for its salmon, sea trout and brown trout fishing. In its upper reaches peaty water flows over a bottom of shingle and rock and is fast flowing. The river has its source in the Ladder Hills between Glenbuchat and the Cabrach, part of the Grampian range.

A98 road

The A98 road is a major coastal road of northeast Scotland passing through Moray and Aberdeenshire. The A98 is no longer a primary route, with this status being removed shortly after the A92 was renumbered A90. It originates in the west at Fochabers at a junction with the A96, and proceeds northeast, passing close to Buckie, Findochty and Portknockie before passing through Cullen and Portsoy. After a junction with the A95 it passes through Banff and Macduff.

Macduff railway station

Macduff railway station was a railway station serving the settlements of Banff and Macduff, Aberdeenshire. It was the terminus of a branch line from Pitcaple Inveramsay, run originally by the Great North of Scotland Railway. Prior to the station being built, Macduff was served by Banff & Macduff station, almost a mile from the town. The preceding station on the line into Macduff was Banff Bridge, on the Macduff side of the bridge leading to neighbouring Banff.

Banff Bay is a coastal embayment in Scotland situated between the towns of Banff, Aberdeenshire and Macduff, Aberdeenshire. The Burn of Myrehouse is one of the streams draining to Banff Bay. Banff Bay is a prominent geographical feature along the northern coast of Aberdeenshire, and it is visible from a number of locations along the coastal plain such as Longman Hill situated somewhat distant to the east.
