Known as one of the most overcrowded prisons in Scotland, it has a design capacity of 155 and is contracted to hold up to 230 prisoners. However, on the first day of an inspection in January 2009 it held 264 prisoners.

Duthie Park
Duthie Park, situated in Aberdeen, Scotland, by the banks of the River Dee, comprises 44 acres of land gifted to the council in 1881 by Lady Elizabeth Duthie of Ruthrieston, in memory of her uncle and of her brother. She purchased the land for £30,000 from the estate of Arthurseat. The park is noted for the spectacular David Welch winter gardens with tropical and arid houses which contain the second largest collections of bromeliads and of giant cacti respectively in Great Britain.

Original 106 (Aberdeen)
Original 106fm is an independent radio station broadcasting to Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. It was awarded its broadcast licence (the last new FM licence to be issued by Ofcom) in January 2007 and the station launched on October 28, 2007 at 1:06 pm. The first record played was "Revolution" by The Beatles. On September 12th 2009 the station was sold to a consortium led by Adam Findlay which included John Quinn and Murray Strachan.
King George VI Bridge
Not to be confused with George IV Bridge. The King George VI Bridge is a bridge over the River Dee in Aberdeen, Scotland. The foundation stone of the bridge was laid by the Lord Provost Edward W. Watt on 15 September 1938. It was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth in the presence of King George VI on 10 March 1941. Today the bridge carries the Great Southern Road (B9077) into Aberdeen from the south.
