Aberdeenshire
Aberdeenshire is one of the 32 unitary council areas in Scotland and a lieutenancy area. The present day Aberdeenshire council area does not include the City of Aberdeen, now a separate council area, from which its name derives. Together, the modern council area and the city formed historic Aberdeenshire - one of the counties of Scotland formerly used for local government purposes. The Cruickshank Botanic Gardens in Aberdeen, Scotland, were built on land bequested by Miss Anne Cruickshank to commemorate her brother Dr. Alexander Cruickshank. The 11 acre (45,000 m²) garden is located in a low-lying and fairly sheltered area of Aberdeen, less than 1-mile from the North Sea. Victoria Park, Aberdeen

As well as numerous flower beds there is a conservatory and a greenhouse which is open during the summer months. Rubislaw and Queens Terrace Gardens are two small public gardens in Aberdeen, Scotland. Although they are officially two parks, they are bisected only by one road which runs between the 1 hectare rectangular area it covers, so can be considered as one park for this article. It is located between the streets of Rubislaw Terrace and Albyn Place, in the west-end of Aberdeen approximately 300 metres from the main street in Aberdeen, Union Street.
Westburn Park
Westburn Park is located in Aberdeen, Scotland and is a large Aberdeen City Council owned public park. It is a 10 hectare site and one of the cities biggest parks. It does not have flowerbeds or gardens and is mainly grass with some trees. There are two large ponds through which a stream, the Gilcomston Burn, flows through the south of the park. There is a cycle track area for children. This comprises miniature roads with road signs to teach children about how roads work.
Stewart Park, Aberdeen
Stewart Park is located in Aberdeen, Scotland. It is a 5-acre site owned by Aberdeen City Council. It was bought with funds bequeathed by the widow of Mr. John Taylor, a merchant in the city. The park was named after a former Lord Provost of the city, Sir David Stewart. The park contains whale jaw bones presented to the park in 1903 by the Captain of the Arctic whaler Benbow.
Central Library, Aberdeen
The Central Library of Aberdeen in Scotland is located on Rosemount Viaduct and is the main library for the city. The library is housed in a category C(S) listed building. It cost £10,000 to build and was publicly funded through local campaigning that began in 1889. It was opened 5 July 1892 by Andrew Carnegie after he and his wife contributed £2000 to the construction process.

Roxburghe House is a specialist palliative care unit. It has three consultants, several specialist nurses and an excellent team of trained and untrained nurses. It is currently situated near Foresterhill, Aberdeen, Scotland. Prior to this it occupied a site in Milltimber, Aberdeen. Roxburghe House provides many services, not just for oncology patients but for those requiring respite too. There is a large multi-disciplinary team involved in the care of patients of an every day basis.

An arcade dominates the front of the building, behind which lie a reception area and then the large, wood-panelled hall with hammerbeam roof.
George Street, Aberdeen
George Street is a street in the city of Aberdeen, Scotland. At its northern end it meets the area of Kittybrewster. Running south and slightly east, George Street heads towards the city centre. The William Wallace Statue is a statue in Aberdeen, Scotland, depicting Sir William Wallace. The statue was created in 1888 by William Grant Stevenson, and it is positioned opposite His Majesty's Theatre, and across from Union Terrace Gardens.
