Islandmagee is a peninsula and civil parish on the east coast of County Antrim, Northern Ireland, located between the towns of Larne and Carrickfergus. It is part of the Larne Borough Council area and is a sparsely populated rural community with a long history since the mesolithic period. As part of an agricultural crop rotation programme of old beans were grown to supply nitrogen to the soil. "Bean Eaters" became a nickname for the people of Islandmagee.

Whitehead railway station
Whitehead railway station serves Whitehead in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. The station has two platforms with a waiting room on each and the station is signalled in both directions and remains manned during commuter hours by a Senior Porter, who luckily for the commuters is a fully trained signalman, capable of fixing points and signalling issues when they arise. Previously the line was double towards Belfast and Whitehead was where the track narrowed to the single track section to Larne.
Ballycarry railway station
Ballycarry railway station serves Ballycarry and Islandmagee in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. A single platform now with a corrugated iron shelter and sometimes a street lamp, this station is a sorry reflection of its former glory as a passing loop on the way to Larne. The stationmaster's cottage lies on the disused down platform, now privately owned and well maintained. Trains run about once an hour. Ballycarry station was opened on 1 October 1862.
Gobbins Path
The Gobbins Path in Islandmagee, County Antrim, Northern Ireland was a dramatic coastal walk which was a popular tourist attraction in the early 20th century. Plans have been confirmed to re-construct it and open it to the public once again.
Kilroot railway station
Kilroot was a station located in the village of Kilroot, close the town of Carrickfergus, in Northern Ireland. At one time it was the last in a tight cluster of stations, each located almost one minute from the other, from Mount railway station through to the halt at Kilroot. The station closed in 1977 when Northern Ireland Railways services were cut back. It has now been dismantled, and all traces were lost whenever Kilroot power station was constructed in the late 1970s.
