Newtownabbey Borough Council
Newtownabbey Borough Council is a Local Council in County Antrim in Northern Ireland. Newtownabbey has a population of 85,139 according to the 2011 census and is on the north shore of Belfast Lough just immediately north of Belfast. Newtownabbey was founded in 1958 as a result of an Act of Parliament passed in 1957 and comprises large urban residential areas along with traditional farming communities.

M5 motorway (Northern Ireland)

Fortwilliam Golf Club
Fortwilliam Golf Club is located on Downview Avenue in north Belfast. It consists of an 18-hole course with a par of 70. The course is bordered by Cavehill on one side and Belfast Lough on the other. The club was formed in 1891 and is the oldest golf club in Belfast. The course was originally located about a mile from its current location, but as a result of Belfast's expansion, the club moved to a new site and established a 9-hole course.

Hazelwood College is an integrated secondary school in Newtownabbey, County Antrim, Northern Ireland and has students from ages 11–18. As of September 2012, the school's principal is Kathleen Gormley.
Whitehouse Primary School
Whitehouse Primary School is a primary school in Newtownabbey. It was destroyed in an arson attack on 18 July 2009. After the school was destroyed, all its students were admitted into the Newtownabby High School. On 14 May 2010, the Education Minister Caitríona Ruane approved an amount of £3.6m for rebuilding the school. In the arson attack, the entire building except the front half was burnt down. The front half included the canteen, the Primary (Grade) 1 Classrooms and the Nursery Unit.
