Nether Poppleton
Nether Poppleton is a village and civil parish in the unitary authority of the City of York in North Yorkshire, England. It is situated by the West bank of the River Ouse adjacent to Upper Poppleton, and west of York close to the A59 road from York to Harrogate. The village is served by Poppleton railway station on the Harrogate Line. According to the 2001 census, the parish had a population of 2,077. Before 1996, it had been part of the Harrogate district.

Yorkshire Wheel
Yorkshire Wheel is the name used by two transportable Ferris wheel installations at different locations in York, England. The first installation was at the National Railway Museum, and operated from 12 April 2006 until 2 November 2008. The second installation, in the grounds of The Royal York Hotel, opened to the public on 13 December 2011.
National Railway Museum Inclinator
The National Railway Museum Inclinator was a short demonstration funicular railway located inside the National Railway Museum in the English city of York. The principal purpose of the Museum Inclinator was to provide step-free access from the main hall of the museum to the workshop gallery, from which the public can look down onto the museum's workshop and its in-progress restoration work.
The Royal York Hotel
The Royal York Hotel is an historic Grade II listed building adjacent to York railway station. It is a five-storey building of yellow Scarborough brick and was completed in 1878, a year after the present station opened. The architect was William Peachey of the North Eastern Railway. It featured elegant, high-ceilinged banqueting rooms and 100 large bedrooms costing 14 shillings a night. A 27-room west wing was added in 1896, named Klondyke after the US gold rush of the time.

Clifton Park Ground is a cricket ground in York, North Yorkshire. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1971, when the Yorkshire Second XI played the Lancashire Second XI in the Minor Counties Championship. The ground held its second and final Minor Counties Championship match the following year when Yorkshire Second XI played Cumberland.
RAF Clifton
Royal Air Force Station Clifton or RAF Clifton is a former Royal Air Force station located 1.5 miles north west of York city centre and 2.6 miles south west of Haxby, North Yorkshire, England. The airfield was opened in 1936 as an civilian airport but by 1939 the station was taken by the Royal Air Force (RAF) for use in the Second World War and was returned in 1946 when the airport reopened. However in 1955 the airfield was closed for good.
