Longleat

Longleat is an English stately home, currently the seat of the Marquesses of Bath, adjacent to the village of Horningsham and near the towns of Warminster in Wiltshire and Frome in Somerset. It is noted for its Elizabethan country house, maze, landscaped parkland and safari park. The house is set in over 900 acres of parkland, landscaped by Capability Brown, with 100,000 acres of woods and farmland.

Whitesheet Hill

Whitesheet Hill is a 136.1 hectare biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Wiltshire, notified in 1965. As one of the most westerly areas of downland in Britain the area is noted for its chalky farmland which contains a rich variety of rare and protected fauna and flora. The hill is also the site of a neolithic causeway camp and barrows; and an Iron Age hill fort. The Roman road which runs along the hill was at one time the main route through the Selwood Forest.

Bradley House (Wiltshire)

Bradley House or Maiden Bradley House is a country house in Maiden Bradley with Yarnfield, Wiltshire. Around 1688 Sir Edward Seymour, 4th Baronet deserted his family home at Berry Pomeroy Castle in Devon and used the money derived from stripping that castle to fund improvements to a new house at Bradley that had been started by his father, the 3rd Baronet. The new Bradley House was completed c.1710. It was a huge building, replaced in 1820 by a house only an eighth of the original size.
