Grittleton House School
Grittleton House School is a small, family-run independent school and children's daycare provider situated in the village of Grittleton near Chippenham in Wiltshire. The school is co-educational with around 300 pupils and toddlers aged 2-16. Grittleton House is non-selective and therefore classes are made up of pupils with a wide range of abilities. It offers pupils small classes and claims to teach traditional family values, courtesy, consideration for others, and responsibility for oneself.

Grittleton is a village and civil parish in Wiltshire, England, 7 miles NW of Chippenham, Wiltshire at grid reference ST860800. The Grittleton House estate is the home of Grittleton House School, which was founded in 1951. The village is represented in parliament by James Gray and in Wiltshire Council by Jane Scott, both Conservatives.
Alderton Tunnel
The Alderton Tunnel sits on the South Wales Main Line on a stretch of line between Swindon and Bristol Parkway. It is 506 yards long. It was opened on 1 January 1903 along with the line between Wootton Bassett and Badminton, that being the first section of the South Wales & Bristol Direct Line of the Great Western Railway. Building of the tunnel commenced at least two years before 1903 as the rise in railway workers boarding in Alderton village can be seen in the 1901 UK Census.
RAF Castle Combe
RAF Castle Combe was a Second World War Royal Air Force station situated half a mile southeast of Castle Combe in Wiltshire, England. The Castle Combe airfield opened in May 1941. The land which the airfield occupied belonged to the Castle Combe estate, which was owned by the Gorst family. It was used as a practice landing ground by nearby RAF Hullavington, home of No. 9 Service Flying Training School. Flying training expanded considerably and the facilities were upgraded.
