Wasing
Wasing is a small village and civil parish in Berkshire, England. It is situated in the West Berkshire district, near to the Berkshire-Hampshire border approximately 7.5 miles south east of Newbury, its post town. Other places located close by include Aldermaston and Brimpton. The village is situated near the River Enborne. The area largely consists of the Wasing Estate which was purchased in 1759 by the London nautical publisher John Mount.
Heale's Lock
Heale's Lock is a lock on the Kennet and Avon Canal, between Thatcham and Woolhampton, Berkshire, England. Heale's Lock was built between 1718 and 1723 under the supervision of the engineer John Hore of Newbury. The canal is administered by British Waterways. The lock has a rise/fall of 8 ft 11 in (2.72 m). , and was originally a turf lock, being rebuilt as a conventional lock in the late 1980s.

Woolhampton Reed Bed is a 5.77 hectare (14.25 acre) Site of Special Scientific Interest in the civil parish of Woolhampton in the English county of Berkshire. The site was officially notified in 1985. The site is adjacent to the River Kennet and consists of dense reed bed with smaller areas of tall fen vegetation and carr woodland.
