Hadley is a part of the new town of Telford in the borough of Telford and Wrekin and ceremonial county of Shropshire, England. It lies approximately 3 miles north-west of Telford Town Centre, and forms part of the civil parish of Hadley and Leegomery (previously known as simply "Hadley"). It neighbours Wellington, a market town also part of Telford, and that town's two colleges of Telford College of Arts and Technology (TCAT) and New College (NC), all to the west of Hadley.
New Hadley Halt railway station
New Hadley Halt was a minor station between Oakengates and Wellington on the former Great Western Railway's London (Paddington) to Birkenhead via Birmingham (Snow Hill) line. On 13 May 1986, British Rail announced that it would close, due to uneconomic required repairs and it was demolished in 1986. Its grid reference was SJ 681 115. The closure of the station coincided with the opening of a new station called Telford Central which had opened the previous day.

Telford International Railfreight Park (known as TIRFP) is rail freight depot and construction development site located in Donnington to the north of Telford, on the former route of the Stafford to Shrewsbury Line. The development of TIRFP was initiated through a partnership between Telford and Wrekin Council, the Ministry of Defence, and the Homes and Communities Agency in 2001.
Weald Moors
The Weald Moors are located in the ceremonial county of Shropshire north of Telford, stretching from north and west of the town of Newport towards Wellington. Although the Weald Moors are now largely agricultural land, they were among the last parts of the area to come into cultivation. The word weald (which elsewhere means open uplands or waste) in this context means "wild": the "wild moors". A moor, in Shropshire usage, was a marsh.
