Broadbottom railway station
Broadbottom railway station serves the village of Broadbottom in Greater Manchester, England. It is on the Manchester-Glossop Line, 10 miles east of Manchester Piccadilly. It was opened by the Sheffield, Ashton-Under-Lyne and Manchester Railway in 1842. It was renamed "Mottram" in 1845, but has since reverted to its original name. East of the station is the Etherow Viaduct that crosses 120 feet (36 m) over the River Etherow.

The Longdendale Bypass (also known as the A57/A628 Mottram-in-Longdendale, Hollingworth & Tintwistle Bypass) was a controversial road scheme in England (abandoned in March 2009) by the Highways Agency. The aim was to alleviate traffic congestion on the A57 road/A628 road/A616 road routes that presently pass through the villages.

Longendale Urban District (also known as Longdendale Urban District) was, from 1936 to 1974, a local government district in the administrative county of Cheshire, England. It encompassed parts of Broadbottom, Hattersley, Hollingworth, Matley and Mottram in Longdendale, all of which form part of the non-statutory Longdendale Valley.
A628 road
The A628 is a major road in the north of England connecting Greater Manchester and South Yorkshire by crossing the Pennine chain of hills by way of the Woodhead Pass through the Peak District National Park. The height and the exposure of the road often creates problems during poor weather in winter and the road is sometimes closed due to snowfall or high winds. There are plans for a bypass around Mottram in Longdendale, Hollingworth and Tintwistle.

St Michael and All Angels Church, Mottram, stands on Warhill overlooking the village of Mottram in Longdendale, Greater Manchester, England. The church has been designated by English Heritage as a Grade II* listed building. It is an active Anglican parish church in the diocese of Chester, the archdeaconry of Macclesfield and the deanery of Mottram.
Mottram in Longdendale (ancient parish)
Mottram in Longdendale was one of the eight ancient parishes of the Macclesfield Hundred of Cheshire, England. Centred on St Michael and All Angels Church it included the townships of Godley, Hattersley, Hollingworth, Matley, Newton, Stayley, Tintwistle and Mottram itself. Under the Poor Law Amendment Act 1886 the townships became civil parishes in their own right.
Mottram Old Hall, Tameside
Old Mottram Hall is a Grade II listed two-storey country house standing in a 6 hectare triangular park lying between Coach Lane and Old Hall Lane in Mottram-in-Longdendale, Tameside, Greater Manchester. Prior to 1974 Mottram lay in the Cheshire panhandle. The house is constructed c.1825 in ashlar with a slate roof. The house incorporates a large rear wing built in 1727 and was previously known as Ivydene. The tree lined drive to the main entrance has a mausoleum to one side.
