Sevenhampton, Wiltshire
Sevenhampton is a small village in the ceremonial county of Wiltshire, England, to the north-east of Swindon. It lies at the bottom of a valley, with fairly steep climbs out of the village in both directions. The place-name 'Sevenhampton' is first attested in 1212 as 'Suvenhantone', and means "town of the dwellers at a locality called 'seven wells' or the like". Sevenhampton is the burial site of James Bond author Ian Fleming, whose grave is marked by an obelisk in the churchyard.
Hannington Bridge
Hannington Bridge is a road bridge across the River Thames in England. It carries a minor road between Kempsford in Gloucestershire and Hannington Wick in Wiltshire. It was built of stone in 1841 replacing an earlier wooden bridge. The bridge comprises three small skew arches, with a causeway either side with flood arches. The river this far is navigable from Lechlade for rowing boats but the bridge is very difficult to negotiate as the stream here is fast and shallow.
St John the Baptist Church, Inglesham
St John the Baptist Church in Inglesham, Swindon, Wiltshire, England, has Anglo-Saxon origins but most of the current structure was built around 1205. Much of the church has not changed since the medieval era. It has been designated by English Heritage as a Grade I listed building, and is now a redundant church in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. It was declared redundant on 1 April 1980 and was vested in the Trust on 28 October 1981.
