Tandridge District
Tandridge is a local government district in Surrey, England containing part of the North Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, part of the Weald and the towns of Warlingham, Caterham, Oxted, Godstone and Lingfield. The area has several woodlands and some open heathland. Elevations range from 267m at Botley Hill, North Downs to 42m above sea level near Edenbridge. The district council offices are in Oxted.
A25 road
The A25 road is one of the three cross-country two-digit numbered roads in the southeast of England, the others being the A26 from Newhaven to Maidstone and the A27 along the south coast. It carries traffic from Guildford in Surrey through Dorking, and thence eastward along the southern edge of the North Downs, to reach Maidstone in Kent. En route, the road passes through Reigate, Redhill, Nutfield, Bletchingley, Godstone, Oxted, Westerham, Brasted, Sevenoaks and Borough Green.

Crowhurst, Surrey
Crowhurst is a civil parish in the Tandridge borough of Surrey. It has a population of 349. The parish church is dedicated to St George. Crowhurst Place, a Grade 1 Listed Building, is a moated manor house dating back to circa 1450. The place-name 'Crowhurst', first evidenced in 1189, means 'crow wood'. The parish lay within the Anglo-Saxon administrative division of Tandridge hundred. Crowhurst should not be confused with Crowhurst in East Sussex.

Tandridge was a hundred in what is now Surrey, England. It includes the borough of Tandridge. It includes the parishes of Bletchingley, Caterham, Chelsham, Crowhurst, Farleigh, Godstone, Horne, Limpsfield, Lingfield, Oxted, Tandridge, Tatsfield, Titsey, Warlingham and Woldingham. The hundred has remained unchanged since the Domesday Book of 1086 where it was called Tenrige. It was noted that one sixth of all the serfs in Surrey belonged to the Tandridge hundred.

The 1929 Luft Hansa Junkers G 31 crash occurred on 6 November 1929 when a Junkers G 31 of Luft Hansa crashed at Godstone, Surrey, United Kingdom whilst on an international scheduled flight from Croydon, Surrey, United Kingdom to Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Of the eight people on board, Glen Kidston was the only survivor.
