M3 motorway (Great Britain)
The M3 is an English motorway that runs from Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey, to Southampton, Hampshire, a distance of approximately 59 miles . It is also included as an unsigned section of European route E05. The motorway is dual three-lanes, except from Junction 8 near Basingstoke to Junction 9 near Winchester where it is dual two-lane.

Lower Sunbury is a part of the town of Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey, England, which lies between the River Thames and the M3 Motorway. Sunbury-on-Thames Urban District
Sunbury on Thames - also known as Sunbury - was a local government district from 1894 to 1974 around the town of Sunbury-on-Thames, also covering Littleton and Shepperton. In 1894, under the Local Government Act 1894, Sunbury on Thames was created an urban district of the administrative county of Middlesex. It originally covered just the parish of Sunbury, but gained the parishes of Shepperton and Littleton in 1930 with the abolition of the Staines Rural District.

Rivermead Island
Rivermead Island is an island in the River Thames on the reach above Molesey Lock at Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey, England. It is unpopulated, being a large area of open space. It is connected to the bank by a footbridge, and vehicle access is possible via a ford of the narrow stream separating it from the land. The Sunbury Amateur Regatta takes place here usually in August each year. Rivermead was originally two islands, the other part being Swan's Rest. However they are now completely joined.
Old Walton Bridge
Old Walton Bridge is the name given to the first Walton Bridge built across the River Thames at Walton-on-Thames in Surrey, England. The wooden bridge was completed in 1750 and stood until 1783 when it was dismantled to make way for a brickwork replacement.
Sunbury Lock
Sunbury Lock is a lock on the River Thames in England near Walton-on-Thames in north-west Surrey. The lock adjoins the southern bank about half a mile downstream of the Weir Hotel. There are in fact two locks, which are some distance downstream of the original lock built in 1812. The older hand-operated one was originally built in 1856, but is now seldom used. The newer one was opened in 1927 by Lord Desborough. There is also a slide for the portage of small boats.
Walton Bridge
Walton Bridge is a road bridge across the River Thames in England, carrying the A244 between Walton-on-Thames and Shepperton, crossing the Thames on the reach between Sunbury Lock and Shepperton Lock. Five bridges have occupied the site so far, two of which are in place; construction is in progress on the sixth. Before the first bridge the site had a ferry dating at least to the 17th century.

Sunbury Lock Ait is an ait (island) in the River Thames in England adjacent to Sunbury Lock, near Walton-on-Thames, Surrey. It is unpopulated, but accessible by a footbridge over the lock cut from the southern bank as well as by a connection to the lock. There is a footbridge across the weir to Wheatley's Ait just upstream, but this is closed to the public. The island is inaccessible from Sunbury-on-Thames except by boat.
Thames Valley Skiff Club
Thames Valley Skiff Club is an English skiff and punting club, which was founded in 1923. It is based on the River Thames in England, on the Surrey bank between Sunbury Lock and Walton on Thames. The club supports two traditional water sports - skiffing and punting. Skiffs are traditional, stable wooden boats which are sculled with a pair of blades. Punts are 2 ft and 1 ft (Best and Best) racing punts.
The Avenue
The Avenue is a rugby union stadium at Sunbury-on-Thames that has belonged to the English club London Irish since 1931 when the team purchased eleven acres to establish a club there. While the team moved to Madjeski Stadium in 1999, the stadium survived the team's 2009 proposed redevelopment plan, and remains the site of pre-season friendlies. The site also serves as a training facility for the "London Irish England Rugby Academy".
