Brooklands

Brooklands was a 2.75-mile motor racing circuit and aerodrome built near Weybridge in Surrey, England, United Kingdom. G-BBDG (manufacturer's serial number 202, known as Delta Golf) was the third British production Concorde built for evaluation testing. Along with the French Concorde F-WTSB, the aircraft was used to enable sufficient testing to allow for the Concorde fleet to receive certification. It was stored at Filton airfield from the mid-1980s until 2003, when it was transported by road to the Brooklands Museum in Weybridge, Surrey.

The River Ash is a small river in Surrey, England and its course of some 10 km or 6 miles is just outside Greater London. The course of the river has been much influenced by human action. It flows from the River Colne, just south of Staines Moor, eastwards through the borough of Spelthorne, running through the towns of Staines-upon-Thames, Ashford and Shepperton before joining the River Thames in the creek behind Sunbury Lock at Sunbury.

Pharaoh's Island, River Thames

See also Pharaoh's Island in Egypt. Pharaoh's Island is an island in the River Thames, in Surrey, England. The island is located above Shepperton Lock. It was given to Admiral Nelson following the Battle of the Nile who used it as a fishing retreat. The island has a number of relatively large residences on it. However, it is not connected by any bridge and is only accessible by boat. In January 2011, a small dinghy ferrying people from the island capsized with the loss of two lives.

Chertsey Lock

Chertsey Lock is a lock on the River Thames in England, on the northern Middlesex bank near Chertsey (which is on the opposite side of the river) in north-west Surrey. Hamhaugh Island

Hamhaugh Island is an island in the River Thames in England close to Shepperton Lock, near Shepperton, Surrey. The island is mainly residential with a total of 46 houses and a communal green. Access is on foot from Shepperton lock, across Lock Island and then across a weir. A second weir, without foot access, connects the island to the right bank.
