Rushmere Common (also Rushmere Heath) is common land situated on the east of Ipswich mainly within the parish of Rushmere St. Andrew, Suffolk, England. It is predominately heathland, gorse, woodland and hosts a golf course. It adjoins the Sandlings Open Space to the east which is owned and managed Suffolk Coastal Council and is crossed by a number of footpaths, including the Sandlings Walk which is a long distance footpath which starts on the common ends 160 miles miles away in Southwold.

It runs through an area of lowland heath, Britain's rarest wildlife habitat, and the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Starting on the outskirts of Ipswich, the route passes through Rushmere Common, Sutton Heath, Rendlesham Forest, Butley Corner, Tunstall Forest, Friston, North Warren, Thorpeness, Sizewell, Minsmere, Dunwich Heath, Dunwich Forest, the Suffolk Coast National Nature Reserve and Southwold .
Kesgrave Hall
Kesgrave Hall is a country house located in woodlands north of the suburban village of Kesgrave, which itself is on the eastern outskirts of Ipswich, in Suffolk, England. The Hall has had several uses during its life, including housing five different boarding schools. Since late April 2008, the building has been used as a restaurant and hotel and owned as a joint venture by the Hills Building Group and the Milsom Hotel Group.

Carlford is a hundred of Suffolk, consisting of 25,461 acres . Carford Hundred is of an irregular figure about ten miles (16 km) in length and from four to six miles (10 km) wide. It is bounded on the south by Colneis Hundred, on the east by Wilford Hundred and the River Deben, on the north by Loes Hundred and on the west by Bosmere and Claydon Hundred and the borough of Ipswich. It falls in the Deanery of Carlford, and in the Archdeaconry of Suffolk.
