Unitarian Meeting House, Ipswich
The Unitarian Meeting House in Ipswich, Suffolk is one of the town's older surviving buildings, and stands adjacent to one of the most recently constructed Grade I listed buildings in England, the Willis Building. The present building was opened by John Fairfax in 1700. Much of the original interior remains intact.

Martin & Newby was the oldest shop in Ipswich, Suffolk until it closed down in June 2004. The business was established in 1873 and was based around 5 departments: Ironmongery, Electrical, Domestic, Gardening and Tools. The shop gave a very traditional personal service, it was reported by local press that the shop closed down because they could not compete with DIY Superstores such as B&Q and the increasing range of products offered by supermarkets.

Saint Mary at Stoke is a Grade I listed Anglican church in the Old Stoke area of Ipswich. on the junction of Stoke Street and Belstead Road in Ipswich, Suffolk. The church stands in a prominent position near the foot of a ridge, just south west of Stoke Bridge and the town centre. Its parish was a small farming community which saw a great increase in population with the coming of the railway to this part of Ipswich.

Ipswich engine shed
Ipswich engine shed was an engine shed located in Ipswich in Suffolk in the UK on the Great Eastern Main Line located just south of Stoke tunnel and the current Ipswich railway station. Locomotives accessed the site from Halifax Junction which was also the junction for the Griffin Wharf branch of Ipswich docks. The depot opened in 1846 and closed in 1968 although the site remained in railway use for a further thirty years. In British Railways days it was allocated the code 32B.

Ipswich Stoke Hill railway station
Ipswich Stoke Hill railway station was the northern terminus of the Eastern Union Railway line from Colchester to Ipswich from its opening in 1846 until 1860 when the present Ipswich station opened at the other end of the Stoke tunnel when the line was extended to Bury St Edmunds. For more than one hundred and twenty years after the station's closure, the site was in use as railway sidings. These consisted of a carriage and wagon works and Ipswich engine shed.

The area then became run down but has more recently been redeveloped, with the dock being converted into a marina.

Ipswich Blackfriars

Two sets of excavations, one in the late nineteenth century and one in the 1970s and 1980s recovered much of the plan of the entire complex, and particularly the church and East cloister range. Henry III established Dominican friars at Ipswich in 1263.
