Fenton railway station
Fenton railway station was opened in 1864 by the North Staffordshire Railway on its line to Derby. It closed in 1961. It was located in Heron Cross and was one of two stations in the area, the other being Fenton Manor. The buildings and platforms have been demolished although the site itself is still identifiable, occupied by a communications mast.
Fenton Manor railway station
Fenton Manor railway station was a station in the Fenton area of Stoke-on-Trent, opened in 1889 by the North Staffordshire Railway on its line to Leek. It was located on Victoria Road and was one of two stations in the area, the other being Fenton on the Stoke-Derby Line. The station closed in 1956. The track is still in situ and although the buildings have gone, the platform edges can still be traced.
Eastwood Hanley F.C
Eastwood Hanley F.C. was a football club based in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England. They were founder members of the North West Counties Football League, finished runners in Division Two in 1984, gaining promotion to the Northern Premier League in 1987. They folded in 1997 due to dimishing gate receipts and being forced out of their home ground by regular vandalism to their club house.

Heron Cross is a town situated between Blurton and Fenton, in Stoke on Trent. It has a pharmacy, a photo shop, a park, a church, two pubs, three newsagents, a school and a pot bank. It has two main streets, Grove Road and Heron Street. Heron Cross is a home to about 1,000 people. The school, Heron Cross Primary School is a school for people aged 3/4 to 10/11 (nursary to y6). Mrs Shenton is the current headteacher, her time there was from Sept 2009 to the present.

The County Ground was a cricket ground in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. The ground, located at Victoria Road, was situated close to Fenton Manor railway station and the North Staffordshire Railway which it served.
