Shelton Bar (Shelton Iron, Steel & Coal Company) was a 400-acre major steelworks in the city of Stoke-on-Trent, England. In its heyday, Shelton Bar employed 10,000 in the steelworks, had five coal mines, a complete railway system, and a by-products processing factory.
Etruria railway station
Etruria station is a closed station in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England, which served the areas of Etruria and the larger district of Newcastle-under-Lyme. It closed on 30 September 2005. The station was opened 9 October 1848 by the North Staffordshire Railway and was modified by it in the 1870s, when the Potteries Loop Line was constructed. The station was an island platform situated underneath a bridge carrying the A53, approximately one mile north of Stoke-on-Trent station.
Wolstanton Rural District
Wolstanton was a rural district in Staffordshire, England from 1894 to 1904. It was created by the Local Government Act 1894 based on Wolstanton rural sanitary district. It was abolished in 1904 with the parishes being divided between successors. The parish of Goldenhill ultimately became part of the county borough of Stoke-on-Trent. The parishes of Kidsgrove and Newchapel became the Kidsgrove Urban District, which survived until 1974.

Newcastle-under-Lyme railway station was a railway station that served the town of Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, England. It was opened by the North Staffordshire Railway in 1852. The station was located on King Street opposite the Borough Arms Hotel. A small goods yard was located on Water Street. No trace of the station remains today, as it was closed on 2 March 1964, although the route of the trackbed can still be found.

Porthill Park
Porthill Park, also known as the Old County Ground, is a cricket ground in Wolstanton, Staffordshire. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1920, Staffordshire played Cheshire in the grounds first Minor Counties Championship match. Staffordshire used the ground from 1920 to 1966 and again between 1999 and 2004. In total, the ground has hosted 45 Minor Counties Championship matches and 5 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches, the last of which saw Staffordshire play Northumberland in 2004.
