Eccleshall Castle
Eccleshall Castle is located in Eccleshall, Staffordshire, England. It was originally built in the 13th century. It is a Scheduled Ancient Monument and a Grade II* listed building. The land was reputedly granted to St Chad, and from then on until the 1870s it was a residence of the Bishop of Lichfield. Since then it has been in private hands. Cromwell's soldiers demolished most of it during the Civil War in 1643.

The A519 is a road in the United Kingdom that runs between Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire and Newport, Shropshire. At Newport it meets the A518 and A41. It heads broadly north, passing via Eccleshall, junction 15 of the M6 motorway, and then meets the A53 and various other roads in Newcastle-under-Lyme town centre. The road follows the first part of the route of the medieval road from Shrewsbury to York, which passed through the ancient Forest of Lyme.

Walton Hall, Staffordshire
Walton Hall is an Italian style 19th century country house near Eccleshall, Staffordshire which is occupied by a residential special school. It is a Grade II listed building The house was built in about 1848 for Henry Killick (d 1874) who was High Sheriff of Staffordshire in 1862. It was later occupied by James Cadman DSC (1828-1947) a coal mining engineer, and brother of Baron Cadman and who was High Sheriff in 1933 and Deputy Lieutenant.
Ellenhall
Ellenhall is a small Staffordshire village roughly 2.5 miles south of Eccleshall originally comprising part of the extensive estates of the Earl of Lichfield. The village consists of a scattered community of cottages, a hall, and several farms. Ellenhall has no shop, public house or post office. The village church stands on a natural mound close to the highest point at the northern end of the village and is dedicated to St. Mary.

Chebsey is a small village in Staffordshire 2.5 miles southeast of Eccleshall on a confluence of Eccleshall water and the River Sow some 5 miles northwest of Stafford. It comprises a number of houses and cottages and a village church dedicated to All Saints.

Ranton Abbey
Ranton Abbey or Ranton Priory was an Augustinian Priory in Ranton, Staffordshire, England, built c.1150 by Robert fitz Noel of Ellenhall. Ranton was dissolved by the Act of 1536. Only the 14th century tower and part of the south wall remain, although the cloisters and other parts are known to have still been standing in 1663. The ruins of Abbey House stand adjacent. The priory flourished in the 13th century as a subordinate house to Haughmond Abbey.
