Castle Ring
Castle Ring is an Iron Age hill fort, situated high up on the southern edge of Cannock Chase, Staffordshire, in the village of Cannock Wood, England. Castle Ring was thought to have been occupied around AD 50, by the Celtic Cornovii tribe. Apart from the perimeter earthworks, little remains visible.
Chasewater Railway
The Chasewater Railway is a former colliery railway running round the shores of Chasewater in Staffordshire, England. It is now operated as a heritage railway. The line is approximately two miles in length, contained entirely within Chasewater Country Park. The route, which forms a horse-shoe shape around the lake, passes through heathland, including a Site of Special Scientific Interest, and passes over a one-quarter mile long causeway.
Beaudesert (house)
Beaudesert was an estate and stately home on the southern edge of Cannock Chase in Staffordshire. It was one of the family seats of the Paget family, the Marquesses of Anglesey. The estate was obtained by William Paget, 1st Baron Paget in 1546; the family's other main seat is at Plas Newydd. The estate was broken up by the 6th Marquess of Anglesey due to financial difficulties; as a result the furniture was sold off and the fabric of the hall and stables went to auction.
Cannock Wood
Cannock Wood is a village and civil parish in the Cannock Chase District of Staffordshire, England. Situated near Cannock and Lichfield and north of Burntwood. It is approximately 25 miles north of Birmingham and 14 miles north-east of Wolverhampton. Cannock Wood has a population of 1,052. Cannock Wood makes up part of Cannock Chase which is a recognised Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Nun's Well, Cannock Wood
Nun's Well is a spring just inside the village of Cannock Wood in Staffordshire, England, at the base of the Mercia Mudstone Group. {{#invoke:Footnotes|sfn}} There is no evidence that nuns ever lived there, and the name appears to originate in the grant of part of Cannock Chase by Henry II to a priory at Farewell. {{#invoke:Footnotes|sfn}} Slag remains, possibly of a bloomery, have been found there. {{#invoke:Footnotes|sfn}}
Gentleshaw
Gentleshaw is a village and hamlet in Staffordshire located about midway between Cannock and Lichfield, and about a mile north of Burntwood. Although it is now part of Longdon civil parish, it has a Parish Church and a primary school. Gentleshaw Common is a Site of Special Scientific Interest on the south-west side of the church, and forms the south westerly part of Cannock Chase AONB.
Chasewater Heaths railway station
Chasewater Heaths is a heritage railway station on the Chasewater Railway in Burntwood, Staffordshire. It has station building facilities, including a cafe; and a recently rebuilt signal box. To the west is Norton Lakeside Halt and to the east is the terminus, Chasetown (Church Street). The station was constructed in 2000 as part of the extension of the line, that was undertaken following the construction of the M6 Toll Motorway.

Chasetown (Church Street) is a heritage railway station on the Chasewater Railway. It is the north-eastern terminus of the line and consists of a single platform with a run-round loop. The station was constructed in 2000 as part of the extension of the line, that was undertaken following the construction of the M6 Toll Motorway. There are no station buildings.
