Yeovil Olympiads Athletics Club was the first track and field athletics club in Yeovil, Somerset, England. This club was founded in 1969. It has produced many international athletes since its creation. The first was Eric Berry who came 6th in the 1973 European Juniors in the hammer event. Olympians who started with the club include Max Robertson and Gary Jennings, both 400 metres hurdlers. In 2008, the senior men's section of the club was promoted to the British Athletics League.

Yeovil Without is a civil parish in the South Somerset district of Somerset, England. It lies on the northern edge of Yeovil. It includes both suburbs of Yeovil, including the Bucklers Mead development, and rural areas including the hamlets of Yeovil Marsh and Longcroft. The parish includes Johnson Park and Bucklers Mead Community School. In 2002 the parish had a population of 7,286. The parish was created in 1894 from part of the large ancient parish (and later civil parish) of Yeovil.

Johnson Park, Yeovil
Johnson Park is a multi-purpose sports ground on the northern outskirts of Yeovil, Somerset and is home to the Yeovil Sports and Social Club www. yeovilsportsclub. co. uk. Between 1951 and 1967, Somerset County Cricket Club played 12 first-class cricket matches on the ground, and Somerset also played two List A matches there, one each in 1969 and 1970. The ground was named after Stanley Johnson, a local benefactor, who donated the field for use by the community for sports purposes in 1948.
Westlands Sports Ground, Yeovil
Westlands Sports Ground is a former List A cricket ground located in Yeovil, Somerset. The ground is home to Westlands Sports Club, originally formed from employees of Westland Aircraft. Between 1971 and 1978, the ground hosted annual Somerset County Cricket Club matches in late May or early June. In later years, the club has used the ground for Second XI and youth cricket.
