Stalbridge railway station was a station in Stalbridge in the county of Dorset, England. It was located between Henstridge and Sturminster Newton stations on the Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway. Henstridge railway station was a station at Henstridge in the county of Somerset, in England. It was located between Stalbridge and Templecombe stations on the Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway. Sited on a single line stretch, the station had one short platform with a modest station building. A siding was controlled from a ground frame, and an adjacent level crossing operated by hand.

Yenston is a small village in Somerset within the Parish of Henstridge. Located on the A357, the village is located between Templecombe and Henstridge. Over the years the village has seen a number of changes. Back in the 1950s, the village had 3 pubs, a Methodist Church and a Village Shop Since then the pubs and shop have changed into dwellings, the village life is based around homelife.

Templecombe Preceptory

Templecombe Preceptory (or Combe Templariorum) was established in 1185 in Templecombe, Somerset, England. One of the manors within the parish was held by Earl Leofwine who gave it to Bishop Odo of Bayeux after the Norman Conquest. It was his descendant Serlo FitzOdo who granted it to the Knights Templar who established a preceptory in the village in 1185. The preceptory served as an administrative centre for the lands held by the Templars in the south west of England and Cornwall.

Yenston Priory was a Benedictine priory in Henstridge, Somerset, England. It was a cell of the Abbey of Sever in Normandy, France. It was founded by Hugh d'Avranches, 1st Earl of Chester, who died around 1100 and was also known as Hugh Abrincus, and Hugh Lupus. Around 1468 it was granted to Eton College. After the dissolution of the monasteries the land was held by Sir Thomas Bell.
