Mitchell's Fold
Mitchell's Fold (sometimes called Medgel's Fold or Madges Pinfold) is a Bronze Age stone circle in South-West Shropshire, located near the small village of White Grit on dry heathland at the south-west end of Stapeley Hill in the civil parish of Chirbury with Brompton, at a height of 1083 ft (330m) o.d. It is a Scheduled Ancient Monument (number 107448) in the guardianship of English Heritage.
Stapeley Hill

Hoarstones
The Hoarstones form a stone circle in the civil parish of Chirbury with Brompton in the English county of Shropshire. The circle comprises 38 stones, all less than a metre high. There are two small mounds in the north-west of the circle that may be the remnants of barrows. The ring is also known as Black Marsh, Hemford and Marsh Pool.
White Grit
White Grit is a small, scattered village beneath Corndon Hill in Powys, Wales, directly on the border with (and partly in) Shropshire. The nearby village of Priest Weston, despite being in England, actually lies to the west of White Grit. To the east is the A488 road. The nearest town is Bishop's Castle. A former mining village, it took its unusual name from the White Grit (or West Grit) Mine, lead having been mined intermittently in the area since mediaeval times.
Whetstones (stone circle)
The Whetstones are, or were, a stone circle beneath Corndon Hill on the border of Powys, Wales and Shropshire, England. They lie immediately to the west of the village of White Grit and close to Priestweston. The site is also a short distance from the better-known Hoarstones and Mitchell's Fold circles. The circle was largely destroyed in the 19th century, and only a few fragments now remain.
Marton, Shropshire
Marton is a small village in Shropshire, England. It forms part of the civil parish of Chirbury with Brompton and Marton is a parish ward within that parish, returning 3 councillors. The B4386 road passes through the village. The border with Powys is close by. There are two public houses in the Marton area: the Lowfield Inn (outside the village towards Shrewsbury) and the Sun Inn (within the village). Opposite the Sun Inn is a convenience store. There is also a chapel dedicated to St Marks.
