Hamperley
Hamperley is a dispersed hamlet in Shropshire, England. It is mainly located in the parish of Church Stretton, 2½ miles southwest of Little Stretton and 4 miles from the market town of Church Stretton. The parishes of Church Stretton, Wistanstow and Lydbury North come together at Hamperley and some dwellings, at Hamperley Plantation, are in the Wistanstow parish, whilst Little Hamperley is just within the Lydbury North parish.
Cwm Head
Cwm Head is a hamlet in Shropshire, England. The name is part-Welsh, part-English and means "Head of the Valley". It is located in the parish of Wistanstow and on the B4370 road, 1+⁄4 miles southwest of Marshbrook and the A49 road. From Cwm Head, the B4370 heads downhill both towards Marshbrook and in the other direction towards Horderley and the A489. There is a church at Cwm Head - "St Michael and All Angels". It was built in 1845 to a neo-Norman design by H. C.
Plowden, Shropshire
Plowden is a hamlet in the parish of Lydbury North, Shropshire, England. It is in the valley of the River Onny and lies 3 miles east of Bishop's Castle. Plowden Hall is a grade II* listed building, being a timber framed building dating in part from about 1300. and is described in the novel John Inglesant by Joseph Henry Shorthouse, who drew the place as Lydiard.
Myndtown
Myndtown (sometimes formerly spelt Mindtown) is a small village and civil parish in rural Shropshire, around 5 miles to the north-east of Bishop's Castle. The village of Myndtown itself lies immediately beneath the slope of the Long Mynd; it consists of only two farms and the small parish church of St. John, which has 12th century origins and is Grade II listed. The parish is sparsely populated and includes some other small settlements such as Asterton.
