Bomere Heath
Bomere Heath is a village in Shropshire, England lying north of the county town of Shrewsbury and in between Baschurch and Harlescott. It is situated between the A528 road and Berwick Road. The village sports a convenience store, a post office, chip shop, hairdressers,and a pub, The Red Lion. It is the main village of the Pimhill parish. The parish is now known as "Bomere Heath and District". Nearby, to the north, is the small village of Merrington.
Leaton railway station
Leaton railway station was a minor station located about six miles north of Shrewsbury on the GWR’s Paddington to Birkenhead main line. Today this is part of the Shrewsbury to Chester line. It was at the top of the long climb up Hencote bank out of Shrewsbury. The station building (now a private house) can still be seen on the north side of the adjacent Leaton level crossing on the east side of the line.
Oldwoods Halt railway station
Oldwoods Halt was a minor station located north of Shrewsbury on the GWR’s Paddington to Birkenhead Woodside main line. It was opened in the nineteen thirties as part of the GWR's halt construction programme, aimed at combatting growing competition from bus services. Today the route is part of the Shrewsbury to Chester line. Nothing now remains of the halt although the area of the adjacent goods siding/s can still be seen on the west side of the line.
Merrington, Shropshire
Merrington is a small village in Shropshire, England. It is situated to the north of the larger village of Bomere Heath and lies in the parish of Pimhill. Nearby, to the west, is the hamlet of Old Woods.

Leaton
Leaton is a small village in Shropshire, England. It is situated on the B5067, Shrewsbury to Baschurch road, in the parish of Pimhill. The village has an impressive church, the Holy Trinity. This was built in 1859, with the tower added in 1872. The Shrewsbury to Chester Line runs through, though the nearest railway station is at Shrewsbury, as the former Leaton railway station closed to passengers in 1960. The signal box went in 1988, but today there remains a level crossing.

Fitz Manor
Fitz Manor is a manor house and hotel in Montford Bridge, Shropshire, England. The manor, which overlooks the River Severn, was built in 1450, although the original structure is believed to have been a Saxon Hall. The manor was owned at one time by the bishop of Shrewsbury and it had its own church. In the 18th century it fell under the occupation of the Baly family who have owned the Fitz Manor ever since and run it today as a bed and breakfast.
