River Clun, Shropshire
The River Clun is a river mostly in Shropshire, England which runs through the small town of Clun, as well as through or near a number of other villages situated along its valley. It discharges into the River Teme at Leintwardine, Herefordshire. The Clun Valley is very rural and is part of the Shropshire Hills AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty).
Purslow
Purslow is a hamlet in south Shropshire, England. It is located on the B4368 between the towns of Clun and Craven Arms. Purslow was originally a hundred and there is a pub in the village called the "Hundred House". There is also a manor house which has existed in some form since the twelfth century. It is believed the name originally comes from the naming of 'Pusse's barrow'. A coat of arms exists for the Purslow family. Sited in Purslow is a war memorial to commemorate those fallen.

Hopton Heath railway station is a railway station (though in present times is more akin to a halt) in Hopton Heath, a hamlet in Shropshire, England (which is alternatively spelled as a single word "Hoptonheath"). It lies on the Heart of Wales Line, 25+⁄2 miles south west of Shrewsbury. The station is situated in a very rural area; the nearest sizeable settlement is Hopton Castle and further afield are the larger villages of Clungunford and Leintwardine (the latter in Herefordshire).

Hopton Castle
Hopton Castle is situated in the village of the same name which lies approximately half way between Knighton and Craven Arms, in the English county of Shropshire. Hopton Castle featured in the British TV series Time Team in 2010. A ruin since the early 18th century, it was partially restored between 2006 and 2011, and was officially re-opened to the public as a visitor attraction in December 2011 by the Duke of Gloucester.

St Swithun's Church, Clunbury, is located in the village of Clunbury, Shropshire, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Clun Forest, the archdeaconry of Ludlow, and the diocese of Hereford. Its benefice is united with those of St Mary, Bedstone, St Cuthbert, Clungunford, St Mary, Clunton, and St Edward, Hopton Castle. The church is designated by English Heritage as a Grade I listed building.
