A49 road
The A49 is an A road in western England, which traverses the Welsh Marches region. It runs north from Ross-on-Wye in Herefordshire via Hereford, Leominster, Ludlow, Shrewsbury and Whitchurch, then continues through central Cheshire to Warrington and Wigan before terminating at its junction with the A6 road just south of Bamber Bridge, near the junction of the M6, M65 and M61 motorways.
Yorton
Yorton is a small village in Shropshire, England. Its main feature is the Railway Hotel, a family-owned free house specialising in real ales and old-fashioned hospitality. It is notable because of its railway station, which is on the Welsh Marches Line between Wem and Shrewsbury. The station is unusual in being a request stop. Nearby is the larger village of Clive. Approximately 1 mile away to the south lies the hamlet of Yorton Heath.

Grinshill is near to the village of Clive. The A49 runs just to the east of the village. Stone has been quarried at Grinshill since at least the twelfth century.
Hadnall
Hadnall is a village and civil parish in Shropshire, England. It lies on the A49, some 9 km north-north-east of Shrewsbury. The Welsh Marches Line runs just outside the village and there was once a railway station. Today, Hadnall has a primary school, a successful village shop, a pub and a two AA rosette restaurant. The village church is dedicated to St. Mary Magdalene. General Sir Rowland Hill, 1st Viscount Hill, who lived at nearby Hardwick Grange, is buried here.
Yorton railway station
Yorton railway station serves the villages of Yorton and Clive in Shropshire, England. It is 7¼ miles (11.5 km) north of Shrewsbury on the Welsh Marches Line towards Crewe. It has two platforms. Trains only stop here upon request. The station was designated for the axe in Dr Beeching's "The Reshaping of British Railways" in the 1960s. However, because it is on the line linking two major cities in Manchester and Cardiff, it was ultimately saved.

Acton Reynald Hall
Acton Reynald Hall is a 19th century country house at Acton Reynald, Moreton Corbet, Shropshire, England. It is a Grade II* listed building. The Corbet family abandoned nearby Moreton Corbet Castle as a residence in about 1800 when the old 17th century house was enlarged and improved for their occupation. Sir Andrew Corbet retained architect JH Haycock (1759–1830), who created the new mansion in a Neo-Jacobean style.
Wem Town Hall
Wem Town Hall is a building in the market-town of Wem in Shropshire, England. It is currently used as a venue for music and dance concerts, films, stage shows and exhibitions. The interior of the building was completely destroyed by fire on 19 November 1995. The incident became famous as a result of a black-and-white photo taken by amateur photographer Tony O'Rahilly, which appeared to depict the image of a young girl in the doorway of the burning building.
