Ironbridge Gorge
The Ironbridge Gorge is a deep gorge formed by the River Severn in Shropshire, England. Originally called the Severn Gorge, the gorge now takes its name from its famous Iron Bridge, the first iron bridge of its kind in the world, and a monument to the industry that began there. The bridge was built in 1779 to link the industrial town of Broseley with the smaller mining town of Madeley and the growing industrial centre of Coalbrookdale.
Coalbrookdale
Coalbrookdale is a village in the Ironbridge Gorge in Shropshire, England, containing a settlement of great significance in the history of iron ore smelting. This is where iron ore was first smelted by Abraham Darby using easily mined "coking coal". The coal was drawn from drift mines in the sides of the valley. As it contained far fewer impurities than normal coal, the iron it produced was of a superior quality.

Hay Inclined Plane
The Hay Inclined Plane is a canal inclined plane in the Ironbridge Gorge in Shropshire, with a height of 207 feet (63 m). It was located on a short stretch of the Shropshire Canal that linked the industrial area of Blists Hill with the River Severn. The inclined plane was in operation from 1792 to 1894. It can be visited as part of the Blists Hill Victorian Town and is also a waypoint on the South Telford Heritage Trail.
Coalport
Coalport is a village in Shropshire, now part of the new town of Telford. It is located on the River Severn at grid reference SJ700021, a mile downstream of Ironbridge. It lies predominantly on the north bank of the river; on the other side is Jackfield. The settlement was planned as a canal–river interchange and a complete "new town" by ironmaster William Reynolds, who between 1788 and 1796 built warehouses, workshops, factories and workers accommodation in Coalport.
Benthall Hall
Benthall Hall is a 16th century English country house located in Benthall close to the town of Broseley, Shropshire, England, and a few miles from the historic Ironbridge Gorge. It retains much of its fine oak interior, and an elaborate 17th century staircase. It is still occupied by the Benthall family, but has been owned by the National Trust since 1958, and is open to the public two to three afternoons a week during the summer season (March–September).
The Iron Bridge
The Iron Bridge crosses the River Severn in Shropshire, England. It was the first arch bridge in the world to be made of cast iron, a material which was previously too expensive to use for large structures. However, a new blast furnace nearby lowered the cost and encouraged local engineers and architects to solve a long-standing problem of a crossing over the river. In 1934 it was designated a Scheduled Ancient Monument and closed to vehicular traffic.

Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust is an industrial heritage organisation which runs ten museums and manages 35 historic sites within the Ironbridge Gorge in Shropshire, England, widely considered as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. Located at Ironbridge, Coalbrookdale and Broseley on the River Severn, the area is a World Heritage Site and an anchor point of the European Route of Industrial Heritage (ERIH).
Barrow, Shropshire
Barrow is a hamlet and civil parish in Shropshire, England, some 5 miles south of Telford between Ironbridge and Much Wenlock. Although Barrow itself consists of a church and just a few dwellings, the parish extends from Broseley to the eastern edge of Much Wenlock; it also includes the hamlet of Willey. According to the 2001 census the parish had a population of 636. Barrow is a short distance south of the site of a lost mediaeval village, Arlescott.

Merrythought is a toy manufacturing company established in 1930 in the United Kingdom. The company specialises in soft toys, especially teddy bears. It is the last remaining British teddy bear factory to still make its products in Britain and is located at Ironbridge in Shropshire. The company's site in Ironbridge has a small museum and shop open to the public, as well as being where the toys are made.

Tar Tunnel
The Tar Tunnel is located on the north bank of the River Severn in the Ironbridge Gorge at Coalport, England. Miners struck a gushing spring of natural bitumen, a black treacle-like substance, when digging a canal tunnel for the Coalport Canal in 1787. The plan was to connect the canal alongside the River Severn to the lower galleries of the mines below the Blists Hill area. After digging some 3,000ft into the hill the canal project was abandoned in favour of bitumen extraction.

Coalbrookdale railway station
Coalbrookdale railway station is a disused station at Coalbrookdale in Shropshire, England. The station survives situated on the freight-only line between Buildwas Junction and Lightmoor Junction. The station buildings are now used by the Green Wood Centre. The Telford Steam Railway has aspirations to take possession of the up track passing through the station as part of its southern extension.
Enginuity
Enginuity is an interactive design and technology centre in Coalbrookdale, Shropshire, England. It is the newest of the ten museums operated by the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust and was opened in 2002. The museum's exhibition floor is divided into four zones: Materials & Structures, Systems & Control, Energy and Design. Enginuity also offers workshops and interactive shows for school groups. During school holidays, the interactive shows are offered to the general public on varying themes.
Coalport China Museum
The Coalport China Museum is one of the Ironbridge Gorge Museums based in the village of Coalport within the Ironbridge Gorge at Ironbridge, Coalbrookdale on the bank of the River Severn in Shropshire, England. It is located in a World Heritage Site, the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. The museum presents the history of Coalport China, a manufacturer of fine English chinaware which was based on the site between 1795 and 1926.
Jackfield Tile Museum
The Jackfield Tile Museum is one of the Ironbridge Gorge Museums based in the village of Jackfield on the south bank of the River Severn in the Ironbridge Gorge, in Shropshire, England. It is located within a World Heritage Site, the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. The museum is housed in a decorative tile factory building, the former works of Craven Dunnill and Company, that is still used to produce tiles.
Apley Hall
Apley Hall is an English Gothic Revival house located in Stockton, Shropshire. The building was completed in 1811 with adjoining property of 180 acres of private parkland beside the river Severn. It was once home to the Whitmore, Foster and Avery families. The Hall is a Grade II* listed building claimed as one of the largest in the county of Shropshire.
Coalbrookdale Coalfield
The Coalbrookdale Coalfield is a coalfield in Shropshire in the English Midlands. It extends from Linley in the south, northwards to the Boundary Fault which runs northeastwards from the vicinity of The Wrekin. Coal-bearing strata are to be found across three synclines; the Donnington, Madeley and Coalport synclines whilst the majority of the coalfield is subject to intense faulting. The Coalfield produced coal from both deep pits and opencasts over a long period starting in Roman times.
Willey, Shropshire
Willey is a small village south west of the town of Broseley, Shropshire, England, within the civil parish of Barrow. It is made up of about 4 farms and the majority of land is owned and leased by the Weld-Forester family of Willey Hall. Willey also sports a proud cricket team like many small villages around the United Kingdom. The village was the site of one of John Wilkinson's ironworks in the 18th century. The world's first iron boat, a barge, was built there in 1787.

The Werps, Jackfield, Shropshire
The lost village of Werps was one of a group of small settlements which later became collectively known as Jackfield in the Broseley Parish in Shropshire. The Werps lay on the south side of the river Severn, opposite the Old Coalport China Works and records indicate either three or four public houses, although it is unclear as to whether any of their names are renames of the same building or whether re-built on the same site.

St Giles' Church, Barrow, is located in the hamlet of Barrow, Shropshire, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Telford Severn Gorge, the archdeaconry of Ludlow, and the diocese of Hereford. Its benefice is united with those of All Saints, Broseley, St Mary, Jackfield, St Bartholomew, Benthall, and St Leonard, Linley. The church is designated by English Heritage as a Grade I listed building.
