Meadowhall Centre
Meadowhall is an indoor shopping centre in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. It lies three miles (5 km) north east of Sheffield city centre and two miles (3.2 km) from Rotherham town centre. It is the largest shopping centre in the Yorkshire and the Humber region, and the seventh largest in the United Kingdom. Note that Meadowhall Retail Park is a separate development, owned by British Land, lying 0.8 miles to the south of Meadowhall shopping centre in the Carbrook area of the city.
Tinsley Viaduct
Tinsley Viaduct is a two-tier road bridge in Sheffield, England; the first of its kind in the UK. It carries the M1 and the A631 1033 metres over the Don Valley, from Tinsley to Wincobank, also crossing the Sheffield Canal, the Midland Main Line and the former South Yorkshire Railway line from Tinsley Junction to Rotherham Central. The Supertram route to Meadowhall runs below part of the viaduct on the trackbed of the South Yorkshire Railway line to Barnsley.

Shiregreen and Brightside ward—which includes the districts of Brightside, Shiregreen, and Wincobank—is one of the 28 electoral wards in City of Sheffield, England. It is located in the northern part of the city and covers an area of 6.5 km. The population of this ward in 2001 was 20,200 people in 8,200 households. It is one of the wards that make up the Sheffield Brightside constituency.
Lower Don Valley
The Lower Don Valley, or historically the East End of Sheffield, is the mainly industrial north-east quarter of Sheffield, England. Based around the River Don it encompasses the areas of Attercliffe, Brightside, Darnall, Tinsley and Wincobank. The area became the heart of Sheffield's steel industry during the 19th and 20th century.
Wincobank (hill fort)
Wincobank is an Iron Age hill fort in the district of Sheffield, England of the same name. The fort stands on the summit of a steep hill above the River Don, it is oval in shape and covers about 10,000 square metres (108,000 ft²), surrounded by a ditch that was originally 1.5–2 m deep and a bank consisting of a rubble core with stone facings held together with timbers.
Carbrook Hall
Carbrook Hall is a historic house in Sheffield, England. Located at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:53|24|20|N|1|25|0|W|type:landmark_region:GB |primary |name= }} in the Attercliffe district of the city, the original building was owned by the Blunt family from 1176. This was rebuilt in 1462, and was bought by Thomas Bright (Lord of the manor of Ecclesall) in the late 16th century.
Sheffield Tramway
Sheffield Tramway was an extensive tramway network serving the English city of Sheffield and its suburbs. The first tramway line, horse-drawn, opened in 1873 between Lady's Bridge and Attercliffe, subsequently extended to Brightside and Tinsley. Routes were built to Heeley, where a tram depot was built, Nether Edge and Hillsborough. In 1899, the first electric tram ran between Nether Edge and Tinsley. By 1902 all the routes were electrified.
Blackburn Brook
The Blackburn Brook is a stream in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England which joins the River Don near the Meadowhall shopping centre. Between Blackburn village and Grange Lane the brook originally formed the boundary between Sheffield and Rotherham. With the coming of the South Yorkshire Railway in the 1850s the course of the brook was straightened to run parallel with the trackbed through the valley, however the boundary continued to follow the original course.
Concord Park
Concord Park is a large park in the North of Sheffield, England, between Shiregreen and Wincobank. The park consists of Concord Park Golf Course, a country park and Woolley Woods, bordered by Ecclesfield Road. A historic cruck barn lies at the entrance to the park, the last remnant of the Mediaeval hamlet of Oaksfold.
Meadowhall (Tivoli Gardens) railway station
Meadowhall (Tivoli Gardens) railway station was a station planned with the enlargement of the Meadowhall leisure and shopping complex in the east end of Sheffield, England. It was to be built on the site of the former West Tinsley station on the Sheffield District Railway line, with access from Sheffield Road.
Man of Steel (sculpture)
The Man of Steel will be a 30 metre high gateway sculpture located in Rotherham and forming a landmark gateway to the Sheffield City Region. It will honour the people and places of the old industries of the region and signal the new technology sector that has revitalised the area. The sculpture and visitor centre is due be built on a former landfill site (provided by FCC Environment) next to the M1 motorway at Kimberworth in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, England.
