Black Country
The Black Country is an area of the English West Midlands north and west of Birmingham and south and east of Wolverhampton. During the Industrial Revolution, it became one of the most industrialised parts of Britain with coal mines, coking, iron foundries and steel mills producing a high level of air pollution. The Black Country as an expression dates from the 1840s and it is believed that it got its name because of black soot from heavy industries that covered the area.
Midland Metro
The Midland Metro is a light-rail or tram line in the West Midlands of England between Birmingham and Wolverhampton via West Bromwich and Wednesbury. It is owned and promoted by Centro, and operated by West Midlands Travel Limited, a subsidiary of the National Express Group (NEG), under the brand name Travel Midland Metro (TMM). It opened in 1999, mostly using a disused railway trackbed. In Birmingham, it terminates at Snow Hill station.
Moxley
Moxley is a part of Darlaston in the West Midlands. It was first developed during the early part of the 19th century when a handful of terraced houses were built to accommodate locals working in factories and mines and the area was created in 1845 out of land from Darlaston, Bilston and Wednesbury.

The stop and depot are on the site of the old Wednesbury Central railway station, which closed in 1972, though the section of railway on which the tram stop currently stands remained open to goods trains until 1992.

Ocker Hill
Ocker Hill is a residential area of Tipton in the West Midlands of England. It is situated in the northern part of the town, on the main A461 road between Dudley and Wednesbury. The area was first developed during the first half of the 19th century as Tipton became extensively developed for industry during the Industrial Revolution. St Mark's parish church was built in 1849 to serve the newly developed area, and is still in existence today.
Bradley Lane tram stop
Bradley Lane tram stop is a tram stop in Bradley near Wolverhampton in the Black Country, England. It was opened on 31 May 1999 and is situated on Midland Metro Line 1. It is one of only a handful of Midland Metro stops to have an island platform. The site is located on the exact border of Walsall and Wolverhampton and serves the areas of Moxley and Bradley, as well as Tipton and Darlaston. It is situated a few hundred yards from the site of the old Bradley and Moxley railway station.

Wednesbury Central railway station
Wednesbury Central railway station was a major intermediate station on the Great Western Railway's London (Paddington) to Birkenhead via Birmingham (Snow Hill) line. It was opened as Wednesbury in 1854 and was one of two stations serving Wednesbury in the West Midlands. It was renamed to Wednesbury Central in 1950 following nationalisation. It closed with the closure of the line in 1972.
Great Bridge South railway station
Not to be confused with the nearby Great Bridge North railway station. Great Bridge South railway station was the only station on a link line between the South Staffordshire Line and the Birmingham Snow Hill-Wolverhampton Low Level Line. It was opened in 1866. As with a lot of passenger stations, it closed during the years of the First World War but reopened in 1920 and remained operational until British Rail closed the station through the Beeching Axe in 1964.
Horseley Ironworks
The Horseley Ironworks (sometimes spelled Horsley and Iron Works) was a major ironworks in the Tipton area in the county of Staffordshire, now the West Midlands, England. Founded by Aaron Manby, it is most famous for constructing the first iron steamer, The Aaron Manby, in 1821. The boat was assembled at Rotherhithe. She was only the first of a number of steamboats built on the "knock-down" principle.
Horseley Road tram stop
Horseley Road is a proposed stop on the planned Line two of the Midland Metro expansion. It will be the fourth stop on the proposed route from Wednesbury - Brierley Hill. The line is expected to be opened in 2013.

Tipton Sports Academy
Tipton Sports Academy is a multi-purpose sports stadium located on Wednesbury Oak Road in Tipton, West Midlands, England. It includes a running track, a football pitch and an indoor tennis courts. The synthetic running track was laid out in 1998 to replace a cinder track. This work was completed at the same time as the indoor tennis courts, and the full cost of upgrading the complex (more than £3million) was paid by the National Lottery.

Patent Shaft
Patent Shaft, formerly The Patent Shaft and Axeltree Company Est 1840, was a large steelworks situated in Wednesbury, West Midlands, England. It employed hundreds of local people from its opening during the 19th century, and was a key player in the Industrial Revolution that spread across the Black Country at this time, and gave the region its iconic name. A decline in the manufacturing industry during the 1970s meant that even the largest factories were faced with threat of closure.

Ocker Hill Power Station
Ocker Hill Power Station was situated in Tipton, Staffordshire, at a point where the Walsall Canal intersected the L&NWR Wednesbury to Princes End railway line. It was opened in 1902 by the Midland Electric Corporation for Power Distribution Ltd. (MEC) and supplied electricity at 7000volts two phase 50 Hz to much of the Black Country. At the time of its building it was stated that it was planned to be the largest power station in England.
