Anston
The villages of North Anston and South Anston are the principal constituents of the civil parish of North and South Anston, in the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham in South Yorkshire, England. The area is generally known simply as Anston, although the Post Office now officially recognises South Anston in its own right (this change occurred due to postal confusion with nearby Aston and also because of petitions of local residents).
Beighton ward, Sheffield
Beighton ward—which includes the districts of Beighton, Hackenthorpe, Owlthorpe, and Sothall—is one of the 28 electoral wards in City of Sheffield, England. It is located in the eastern part of the city, on the border with Rotherham and covers an area of 5.7 km. The population of this ward in 2001 was 17,800 people in 7,200 households. Prior to 1967, the districts of this ward formed part of Derbyshire.

Netherthorpe Airfield is located 2 NM west by north of Worksop, Nottinghamshire, England. The airfield is in the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham. It was opened as a civil aerodrome in 1935. Netherthorpe is owned and operated by Sheffield Aero Club. The 18/36 runway at 382 m × 18 m ( ft × ft) is the shortest licensed runway in the UK, and probably in Europe, and is barely longer than some helicopter landing pads (such as Penzance Heliport which is 375 m × 45 m).

They are grouped as one population because there is no clear division between the two towns. The population of Anston/Dinnington was recorded at 19,086 in 2001.
Whitwell Old Hall
Whitwell Old Hall is an early 17th century manor house at Whitwell, Derbyshire. It is a Grade II* listed building. The manor of Whitwell was purchased in the 16th century by Sir John Manners of Haddon Hall (second son of Thomas Manners, 1st Earl of Rutland). He was High Sheriff of Derbyshire in 1585 and rebuilt the old manor house. The garden front of two storeys has seven irregular bays and three gables.

Anston Stones Wood is a 33.7 hectare (88.3 acre) biological site of Special Scientific Interest in South Yorkshire. The site was notified in 1955. The site contains the second best example of limestone woodland in South Yorkshire.
Lindrick Golf Club
Lindrick Golf Club is a golf course in South Yorkshire and is also a site of special scientific interest (SSSI). The SSSI covers 22.0 hectares (54.4 acres) and was designated for its biological interest. The site was notified in 1987. The course is situated on the main A57 trunk road running between Liverpool and Lincoln, and is situated approximately 3 miles west of Worksop.
Harry Crofts Colliery
Harry Crofts Colliery was a small, short lived coal mine within the parish of South Anston, near Rotherham, South Yorkshire. The colliery was sunk between 1924 and 1926 and closed in 1930. It was situated about two miles east of Kiveton Park railway station and was on the north side of the main line of the L.N.E.R. almost at the junction of the west curve to the Great Central and Midland Joint Railway at Brantcliffe West Junction.
