Thorpe Hall (Peterborough)
Thorpe Hall at Longthorpe in the city of Peterborough, Cambridgeshire is a Grade I listed building, built by Peter Mills between 1653 and 1656, for the Lord Chief Justice, Oliver St John. The house is unusual in being one of the very few mansions built during the Commonwealth period. After a period as a hospital, it is currently used as a hospice. While Parliamentary soldiers were in Peterborough in 1643 during the civil war, they ransacked the cathedral.
Netherton, Peterborough
Netherton is a residential area of the city of Peterborough, Cambridgeshire in the United Kingdom. For electoral purposes it forms part of Peterborough West ward. Netherton means lower farm in Old English, but the area was named after the Netherton Building Company which built the original houses in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Thorpe County Infant and Junior schools are located in the area; secondary pupils attend Jack Hunt School. Jack Hunt swimming pool is located here.
Orton Mere railway station
Orton Mere is a station on the Nene Valley Railway and is situated between Ferry Meadows and Peterborough Nene Valley, adjacent to the River Nene. Orton Mere provides access to the eastern end of the Nene Park. At Orton Mere, the Nene Valley Railway passes under the Orton Parkway, part of the complex road system built when Peterborough was allocated New Town status. Orton Mere station appears in the James Bond film Octopussy and is easily identified by the flyover carrying the Orton Parkway.
Orton Mere
Orton Mere is the name of a Mere and its surrounding area, near Orton in the city of Peterborough in eastern England. There are several moorings nearby for boats navigating the River Nene. Orton Mere is part of a Network of citywide nature reserves operated by Nene Park Trust. The lakes are an ideal tourist attraction for those who want to stroll along by the water. They also offer good opportunities for photographing the local bird population.
Thorpe Wood
Thorpe Wood is managed as a nature reserve by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Peterborough. It lies near the village of Longthorpe in the unitary authority area of Peterborough.
A1260 road
The A1260 is a major road that serves the city of Peterborough in Eastern England. The road is dual-carriageway from its southern terminus with the A15 at Hampton to its northern terminus with the A47 at Longthorpe. The road is also known as the "Nene Parkway" and serves as major route from getting from the southern end of Peterborough to the Northern end without having to travel into to the centre of the city via the A15.

Peterborough City Hospital in the United Kingdom is the new acute general district hospital serving the city of Peterborough and north Cambridgeshire, areas of east Northamptonshire and Rutland. The 612-bed, four-storey hospital on the site of the former Edith Cavell Hospital replaces both Peterborough District Hospital (which opened in 1928 as the War Memorial Hospital and was enlarged in continuous phases between 1960 and 1968) and the Edith Cavell Hospital (built 1988).
