Oxfordshire archaically the County of Oxford; abbreviated to Oxon. from the Latin Comitia Oxoniae ("County of Oxford", which city is Oxonia in the nominative case) is a county in the South East region of England, bordering on Warwickshire and Northamptonshire (to the north/northeast), Buckinghamshire (to the east), Berkshire (to the south), Wiltshire (to the southwest) and Gloucestershire (to the west). Westminster College, Oxford
Westminster College was a college of higher education in England. The college was founded in London in 1851 as a training institute for teachers for Methodist schools, but moved to Oxford in 1959. Following the move, the college also began to offer degree courses in Theology and Education. From 1992 to 2000 the college offered degrees validated by the University of Oxford. In 2000 financial pressures caused the college to close.
Botley Road
Botley Road is the main arterial road into Oxford, England from the west. It stretches between Botley, on the Oxford Ring Road to the west of the city, and Frideswide Square at the junction with Oxford railway station, close to central Oxford.
Matthew Arnold School (Oxford)
Matthew Arnold School is a comprehensive secondary coeducational school, for pupils aged 11 to 18, with specialist status in science and mathematics. It is located just west of Oxford near Cumnor Hill and Botley and is named after 19th century poet Matthew Arnold. The school contains around 1,300 students from years 7 to 13. Its 2008 OfSTED Report noted that "Matthew Arnold is a good school with an outstanding sixth form". In 2008 Matthew Arnold School had its best ever examination results.
Raleigh Park, Oxfordshire
Raleigh Park is a park of about 27 acres in North Hinksey, Oxfordshire just west of Oxford. The land was formerly part of the estates of the Harcourt family. The land was sold in 1924 to Raymond ffennell, then owner of Wytham Abbey, who gave it to the City of Oxford for use as a park. It was named in honour of Professor Sir Walter Raleigh, who lived nearby on Harcourt Hill and died in 1922.
Carfax Conduit
The Carfax Conduit was a water conduit that supplied the city of Oxford with water from 1617 until the 19th century. The conduit ran in an underground lead pipe from a spring on the hillside above the village of North Hinksey, beneath Seacourt Stream and the River Thames, to a building at Carfax in the centre of Oxford. The system was built by Otto Nicholson, a London lawyer, to supply the citizens of Oxford with clean water.

Ferry Hinksey Road is a road in west Oxford, England, leading south from the Botley Road. The road leads to the Osney Mead Industrial Estate to the east, started in 1961. To the east is Osney Ditch.
Botley Bridge
Botley Bridge (or Botley Road Bridge) is a road bridge across Seacourt Stream, a branch of the River Thames in Oxford, England. The bridge is on the A420 arterial road at the point where the Botley Road out of Oxford becomes West Way, west of the centre of the city. It forms the boundary of the city limits of Oxford at this point. Further west are Botley and the Oxford Ring Road. Historically, this was the boundary of Berkshire and Oxfordshire before the 1974 county boundary changes.
Bulstake Bridge
Bulstake Bridge is a road bridge across the Bulstake Stream, a branch of the River Thames in Oxford, England. The original stone arch bridge was built by John Claymond (1468–1537), the first President of Corpus Christi College (one of the colleges of Oxford University), in around 1530. The bridge was rebuilt with a higher arch in 1721. It was reconstructed again in 1923–4. The bridge is on the Botley Road in New Botley. To the west is Botley itself and to the east is New Osney.
Osney Ditch
The Osney Ditch is a backwater of the River Thames at Oxford, England. It is one of the principal watercourses in west Oxford. The ditch leaves Bulstake Stream just east of Binsey Lane and then rejoins the main stream of the Thames south of Osney. It flows under Botley Road and forms the western side of Osney Island. The ditch passes just to the west of St Frideswide's Church south of Botley Road and east of Ferry Hinksey Road.
