Kassam Stadium

The Kassam Stadium is the home of Oxford United Football Club and London Welsh Rugby Football Club, and is named after the ground's owner, and former chairman of the football club, Firoz Kassam. To date, the Kassam Stadium has staged nothing higher than fourth-tier league football, as Oxford were relegated to Division Three the season before the new stadium was built and were further relegated to the Conference National in 2005–06. The club was previously based at The Manor Ground.

Harcourt Arboretum

Harcourt Arboretum is an arboretum owned and run by the University of Oxford. It is a satellite of the university's botanic garden in the city of Oxford, England. The arboretum itself is located six miles (10 km) south of Oxford on the A4074 road, near the village of Nuneham Courtenay in Oxfordshire, and comprises some 150 acres . The arboretum forms an integral part of the tree and plant collection of the University of Oxford Botanic Garden.

Culham Rural District

Culham was a rural district in Oxfordshire, England from 1894 to 1932. It was formed under the Local Government Act 1894 from the part of the Abingdon Rural Sanitary District in the administrative county of Oxfordshire. The remainder of the sanitary district, in the administrative county of Berkshire, became Abingdon Rural District. The rural district council continued to be based at Abingdon, holding meetings in the workhouse of the poor law union.

A415 road

The A415 is a British A road which runs from the A4074 at Berinsfield, Oxfordshire, to Witney, passing through Abingdon, Marcham and Kingston Bagpuize. It crosses the River Thames twice, at Abingdon Bridge and Newbridge. When UK roads were first classified in 1922, the A415 started at a junction with the A4 just west of Maidenhead in Berkshire. It ran through Henley-on-Thames and Benson to Shillingford where it joined the then A42. It left the A42 a mile west at Dorchester.

Nuneham House

Nuneham House is a Palladian villa, at Nuneham Courtenay in Oxfordshire England. It was built for Simon Harcourt, 1st Earl Harcourt in 1756. It is owned by Oxford University and is currently used as a retreat centre by the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University. It is a Grade II* listed building. Lord Harcourt demolished the old village in the 1760s in order to create a landscaped park around his new villa. He removed the village in its entirety, and recreated it along the main Oxford road.

1965 Little Baldon Hastings accident

The Little Baldon air disaster occurred on 6 July 1965 when a Handley Page Hastings C1A transport aircraft operated by No. 36 Squadron Royal Air Force, registration TG577, crashed into a field in Little Baldon, near Chiselhampton, Oxfordshire, shortly after taking off from RAF Abingdon. All 41 aboard, including six crew, perished in the crash, making it the third worst air crash in the United Kingdom at the time.

Old All Saints Church, Nuneham Courtenay, or Harcourt Chapel, is a redundant Church of England church near the village of Nuneham Courtenay, Oxfordshire, England. It is a Grade II* listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. The church is southwest of the village, in the grounds of Nuneham House overlooking the River Thames, some 6 miles southeast of Oxford.
