Nottinghamshire

Rufford Abbey
Rufford Abbey is an country estate in Rufford, Nottinghamshire, England, some 2 miles (4 km) south of Ollerton. Originally a Cistercian abbey, it was converted to a country house in the 16th century after the Dissolution of the Monasteries. Part of the house was demolished in the 20th century, but the remains, standing in 150 acres of park and woodland, are open to the public as a country park.
Ollerton railway station
Ollerton railway station is a former railway station in Ollerton, Nottinghamshire. It was opened by the Lancashire, Derbyshire and East Coast Railway in March 1897 and closed by British Railways in 1955. Some time later a branch was built to serve Ollerton Colliery. In the mid-twentieth century, the LMS and LNER jointly proposed a coal line to be called the Mid-Notts Joint Railway from Bestwood Park Junction, near Nottingham to Checker House Junction on the former GCR line near Retford.
Boughton railway station (Nottinghamshire)
Boughton railway station is a former railway station in Boughton, Nottinghamshire. It was opened by the Lancashire, Derbyshire and East Coast Railway in March 1897 and closed by British Railways in 1955. The line was notable in that it crossed a series of ridges between river valleys and from Ollerton it climbed at around 1 in 150 to Boughton as it crossed a ridge before the valley of the River Trent.
