Thurgarton Wapentake
Thurgaton was a wapentake (equivalent to a hundred) of the historic county of Nottinghamshire, England. It extended north-eastwards from Nottingham. The River Trent formed most of the eastern boundary.

Bleasby railway station serves the village of Bleasby, Nottinghamshire, England. It is on the Nottingham to Lincoln Line, owned by Network Rail and managed by East Midlands Trains (EMT) Train Operating Company (TOC) who provide an hourly service. Thugarton railway station serves the village of Thurgarton in Nottinghamshire, England. In 1880, the village had a station on the Midland Railway and John Kind was the first station master. At the station much of the original décor remains apart from the electric barriers added later. The buildings were designed by Thomas Chambers Hine.

Hoveringham is a small village in Nottinghamshire about 10 miles northeast of Nottingham and on the west side of the River Trent, just off the A612 trunk road to Southwell. The adjacent area has extensive sand and gravel deposits which have been quarried there for many years.
Gonalston
Gonalston is a small village in Nottinghamshire lying just to the north-east of Lowdham and almost upon the A612 trunk road that runs from Nottingham to Southwell. Gonalston comprises 1,250 acres of arable and pasture land in about equal portions, interspersed with 106 acres of wood and plantations. It lies on a small river called the Dover Beck which separates the village from Lowdham and which flows south-east into the River Trent 2 miles away.

Brackenhurst Cricket Ground
Brackenhurst Cricket Ground is a cricket ground near Southwell, Nottinghamshire on the east side of the A612 road. The first positive mention of the ground was on the Ordnance Survey map which appear after the 1830s survey. It was used by the Nottinghamshire Gentlemen as well as by local clubs. In 1846, the Gentlemen of Southwell with Five men given and A Mynn, played England in what is the grounds only first-class.
