Beth Shalom Holocaust Centre
Beth Shalom (lit. "House of Peace") is a Holocaust memorial centre near Laxton in Nottinghamshire in England. Opened in 1995, it is England's only Holocaust museum. The centre was founded by brothers James and Stephen Smith following a 1991 visit to Israel during which a trip to Yad Vashem changed the way they looked at history and the Holocaust.

Kneesall is a village in the East Midlands of England in the county of Nottinghamshire. Forming part of the civil parish of Kneesall, Kersall and Ompton and of Newark and Sherwood district, Kneesall is situated on the A616 between Newark-on-Trent and Ollerton. The village is three miles from neighbouring Eakring and four miles from Laxton.
Cratley
Cratley is a lost village in Nottinghamshire, England. It may have been located close to North Laithes Farm at Kneesall although an alternative site east of Laund Wood has been suggested. Another name's for the settlement is Cratela, or Creilage. Two field names on the Estate Map of the Liberty of Rufford i.e. (Rufford Estate) in 1637 are given as East and West Credlin. The Village of Cratley was listed as Crastell in the Domesday Book as having 22 villeins and 2 bordars, i.e.
Boughton railway station (Nottinghamshire)
Boughton railway station is a former railway station in Boughton, Nottinghamshire. It was opened by the Lancashire, Derbyshire and East Coast Railway in March 1897 and closed by British Railways in 1955. The line was notable in that it crossed a series of ridges between river valleys and from Ollerton it climbed at around 1 in 150 to Boughton as it crossed a ridge before the valley of the River Trent.
Laxton Castle
Laxton Castle is a late 11th or early 12th century medieval castle located north of the village of Laxton in Nottinghamshire, England. According to an early 20th century report by the British Archaeological Association, the site is notable not only as "the most striking specimen of a mount and court stronghold" in the area, but also for "the nearly perfect condition of its two courts", which made of it a valuable resource for study.
