Housedon Hill
Housedon Hill is a hill on the northwestern edge of the Cheviot Hills in Northumberland, England. It is the northernmost Marilyn in England, the summit lying only about 6 km away from the Scottish border, which runs to the north and east. The hill lies just outside the boundary of the Northumberland National Park. Until recently there was no legal right of access to the hill.

Hethpool House is an Edwardian house at Kirknewton, near Wooler, Northumberland which has Grade II listed building status. Built in 1919 on the site of a late 17th century house which had been the seat of Admiral Lord Collingwood, it was improved in the Arts and crafts style in 1928 for Sir Arthur Munro Sutherland Bt. .
Battle of Yeavering
The Battle of Yeavering (or Battle of Geteryne) was fought on 22 July 1415 between English and Scottish forces near Yeavering in Northumberland. A small English force consisting of 440 men led by the Earl of Westmoreland defeated 4,000 Scots. Fought in the same year as the Battle of Agincourt which famously demonstrated the efficacy of the longbow against cavalry, it is notable that the English side at Yeavering consisted mostly of archers.
