Delapré Abbey
Delapré Abbey, or more properly, the Abbey of St Mary de la Pré (The Abbey of St Mary in the Meadow), was an English monastery situated in the meadows of the River Nene to the south of Northampton. It was founded as a monastery of nuns about the year 1145 and belonged to the congregation of the great Abbey of Cluny in Burgundy, France. The abbey was founded by the Earl Simon de Senlis during the reign of King Stephen and held a Royal Charter from King Edward III.

Far Cotton
Far Cotton, many years ago a village in its own right, is a district of the English county town of Northampton. Far Cotton is due south of the town centre, beyond Cotton End - hence the 'Far' - and south of the River Nene. Hunsbury Hill
Hunsbury Hill is an Iron Age hill fort two miles (3 km) south-west of the centre of the town of Northampton in the county of Northamptonshire. It is probable that defences were built at Hunsbury Hill between the 7th and 4th centuries BC. The deep ditch excavated has survived to the present day. A wooden rampart was also constructed; there is evidence that Hunsbury hill fort's inner ramparts were burned down and vitrified; this is rare in England.
Hunsbury Hill Tunnel
Hunsbury Hill Tunnel is a railway tunnel on the Northampton Loop Line of the West Coast Main Line. The tunnel runs in a straight line from the Briar Hill district of the town of Northampton, England about north by east to the West Hunsbury district south of the town . The tunnel has a single bore with twin tracks and is 1,152 yards long. It is about 1 mile south of Northampton railway station and the next station south is Wolverton.
