Oxendon Tunnel
The Oxendon Tunnels are disused railway tunnels in Northamptonshire, England. The Northampton to Market Harborough line opened in 1859 and had tunnels at Oxendon and nearby at Kelmarsh. The original tunnel was single-track, and when the line was doubled a second single-track tunnel was built. The "up" line tunnel is 453 yards long while the "down" line is 462 yards . Due to the small bore, the tunnels were known as "the rat-holes" by train drivers.
Great Bowden
Great Bowden is a village and civil parish in the Harborough district of Leicestershire, England. It is north-east of and a suburb of Market Harborough, although originally the parish of Great Bowden included Harborough. The population is around 1,000. It is the site of Great Bowden Hall. The village was included in the Domesday Book, under the name 'Bugedone' and was worth 40 shillings per year to the King, who held it.

Oxendon was a rural district in Northamptonshire, England from 1894 to 1935. It was formed under the Local Government Act 1894 from the part of the Market Harborough rural sanitary district which was in Northamptonshire (the rest going on to form Market Harborough Rural District in Leicestershire). It was named after Great Oxendon.

St. Mary the Virgin, Brampton Ash
St. Mary the Virgin is the local parish Church of England church for Brampton Ash, Northamptonshire. Sitting in the Diocese of Peterborough, the ironstone church boasts fine carvings of lions. It is well lit at night, and can be seen across the Welland Valley for miles around. The church is largely 13th and 14th century with some restoration in the 19th century.

Kelmarsh railway station on the Northampton and Market Harborough railway opened on 16 February 1859 serving the villages of Kelmarsh and Arthingworth, Northamptonshire, England. It ran almost equidistant between the two villages which are just under 2 miles apart north-east of Kelmarsh and south-west of Arthingworth. It was part of the London and North Western Railway.
Clipston and Oxendon railway station
Clipston and Oxendon railway station on the Northampton and Market Harborough railway opened in 1863 as a result of villagers' requests serving the villages of Clipston and Great Oxendon, Northamptonshire, England. It was about 1 mile south-east of the Oxendon and about 3 miles walking distance north-east of Clipston. It was south of Oxendon tunnel. It was part of the London and North Western Railway. The station lost its passenger service on 4 January 1960.
