Battle of Towton
The Battle of Towton was fought during the English Wars of the Roses on 29 March 1461, near the village of the same name in Yorkshire. It was "probably the largest and bloodiest battle ever fought on English soil". {{#invoke:Footnotes|sfn}} According to chroniclers, more than 50,000 soldiers from the Houses of York and Lancaster fought for hours amidst a snowstorm on that day, which was Palm Sunday. A newsletter circulated a week after the battle reported that 28,000 died on the battlefield.
Lotherton Hall
Lotherton Hall is a country house near Aberford, West Yorkshire, England. It lies a short distance from the A1(M) motorway, 200 miles equidistant between London and Edinburgh. The building has been home to a number of prominent families, including the Nevilles (notably Archbishop George Neville, younger brother of Warwick the Kingmaker), the de Hothams, and finally the Gascoignes in 1825.

Hazlewood Castle is a country residence situated in North Yorkshire, England by the A1 and A64 between Aberford and Tadcaster. The site overlooked the battlefield for the Battle of Towton in 1461, and during the persecution of Catholics through the reign of Henry VIII provided refuge for Catholic priests.

It is close to the battlefield of Towton. Saxton is home to All Saints C of E church, a primary school, a village hall, one pub, the Greyhound, a cricket club and the surviving medieval motte of Saxton Castle.
St Mary's Chapel, Lead
St Mary's Church, Lead, is a redundant Anglican chapel standing in an isolated position in fields some 0.75 miles to the west of the village of Saxton, North Yorkshire, England. Though technically a chapel, it is generally referred to as a church. It is managed by the Churches Conservation Trust, and has been designated by English Heritage as a Grade II* listed building. The chapel stands close to the site of the battle of Towton of 1461, which was part of the Wars of the Roses.

Grimston Park is a grade II* listed Georgian country house in Grimston, North Yorkshire, England, some 1.7 miles (3 km) south of Tadcaster. It has been converted into a number of luxury homes. The house is built on two storeys of Tadcaster limestone ashlar with a Welsh slate roof. It has a 7-bay frontage with a projecting portico and a three-storey tower and a single story entrance lodge at each end.
