Battle of Boroughbridge
The Battle of Boroughbridge was a battle fought on 16 March 1322 between a group of rebellious barons and King Edward II of England, near Boroughbridge, northwest of York. The culmination of a long period of antagonism between the king and Thomas, Earl of Lancaster, his most powerful subject, it resulted in Lancaster's defeat and execution. This allowed Edward to re-establish royal authority, and hold on to power for another five years.
Skelton Hall
Skelton Hall is located in North Yorkshire, England. In 1814 Mrs Mary Thompson, the widow of Henry Thompson, came to live in Skelton at The Cottage from where she not only kept an eye on the repairs that she financed at the church, but also on the building of Skelton Lodge (later Hall) which is shown in an 1839 lithograph. The Lodge became The Hall in about 1867, and the Thompson's were succeeded as owners by the Thornton Duesberys.

A6055 road
The A6055 is a twenty-five mile stretch of road in North Yorkshire. It runs in a NNE direction from the A59 at Bond End in Knaresborough where it is called Boroughbridge Road, through the Stockwells Estate. It exits Knaresborough just past Greengate Lane where it turns directly north, before once again resuming a northeasterly direction at a sharp bend on the junction with Farnham Lane.
Church of Christ the Consoler
The Church of Christ the Consoler is a Victorian Gothic Revival church built in the Early English style by William Burges. It is located in the grounds of Newby Hall at Skelton-on-Ure, in North Yorkshire, England. Burges was commissioned by George Robinson, 1st Marquess of Ripon, to build it as a tribute to the Marquess' brother-in-law, Frederick Vyner. The church is a Grade I listed building as of 6 March 1967, and was vested in the Churches Conservation Trust on 14 December 1991.
