Diocese of Ripon and Leeds
The Diocese of Ripon and Leeds is an administrative division of the Church of England, part of the Province of York. It covers an area in western and northern Yorkshire as well as the south Teesdale area administered by County Durham which is traditionally part of Yorkshire. The cities of Ripon and Leeds are within its boundaries as are the towns of Harrogate, Richmond, Knaresborough, Hawes and Bedale and the surrounding countryside. Its northern boundary is the River Tees.
Wath Rural District
Wath Rural District was a rural district in the North Riding of Yorkshire from 1894 to 1974. It was created in 1894 from that part of the Ripon rural sanitary district which was in the North Riding It was named after the village of Wath. In 1974 it was abolished under the Local Government Act 1972. Since then it has formed part of the district of Harrogate in North Yorkshire.
Copt Hewick
Copt Hewick is a village and civil parish in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire, England about two miles east of Ripon. It had a population of 180 in 2004 according to the North Yorkshire County Council.

The Liberty of Ripon or Riponshire was a liberty possessing separate county jurisdiction, although situated within the county of Yorkshire. The liberty was under the jurisdiction of the Archbishop of York, a privilege claimed to have been granted by King Aethelstan in the 10th century.

RAF Dalton
RAF Dalton was an airfield used by RAF Bomber Command during the Second World War. It was a satellite or sub-station of nearby RAF Topcliffe and actually nearer to the village of Topcliffe than the station so named.
Abbeys Amble
The Abbeys Amble is a long-distance path in North Yorkshire, England. It is a circular walk of 104 miles (167 km), based on Ripon. It links three abbeys - Fountains Abbey, Bolton Abbey and Jervaulx Abbey - and three castles - Ripley Castle, Bolton Castle and Middleham Castle.
Norton Conyers House
Norton Conyers House is a grade II* listed late medieval manor house with Stuart and Georgian additions sited in Wensleydale, North Yorkshire, England, some some 4 miles (7 km) north of Ripon. The frontage has distinctive Dutch-style gables and is thought to be the inspiration for Charlotte Brontë's novel Jane Eyre. It has an 18th century garden surrounding an Orangery. The house is currently undergoing restoration but is open for occasional guided tours.
