Knaresborough Castle is a ruined fortress overlooking the River Nidd in the town of Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, England.

Airedale is a geographic area in Yorkshire, England, corresponding to the river valley of the River Aire (pronounced air). The valley stretches from the river's origin in Malham which is in the Yorkshire Dales, down past Keighley and Bingley, through Leeds and Castleford and on to join the River Ouse at Airmyn. Nidderdale Rural District
Nidderdale was a rural district in the West Riding of Yorkshire from 1938 to 1974. Knaresborough Town Football Club are an English football club from the North Yorkshire town of Knaresborough, their exact foundation date is unknown but records show that they were an active club prior to 1902. Most notably the club featured in the Northern League for two seasons, during the early 1900s. They are currently playing in the Northern Counties East League Division One.

Mother Shipton's Cave
Mother Shipton's Cave (or "Old Mother Shipton's Cave") is at Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, England, near to the River Nidd. Nearby is a petrifying well which has been a tourist attraction since 1630 due to its association with the legendary soothsayer and prophetess Mother Shipton (c. 1488 - 1561), born Ursula Southeil, wife of Toby Shipton. According to legend she was born in the cave.

It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Harrogate, the archdeaconry of Richmond, and the diocese of Ripon and Leeds.
