Hampsthwaite
Hampsthwaite is a small commuter village on the south bank of the River Nidd on the western edge of the Victorian spa town of Harrogate. Administratively, Hampsthwaite is a civil parish in the borough of Harrogate and the county of North Yorkshire, England. Hampsthwaite is designated as a Conservation Area, and the area to the north and west of Hampsthwaite is recognised as an Area of Great Landscape Value.
Killinghall
Killinghall is a village and civil parish in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire, England. It is located three miles north of Harrogate, extending south from the bridges on the A61 over the River Nidd. The undeveloped area between Killinghall and Harrogate is known as Killinghall Moor. The village of Ripley lies a mile to the north and Hampsthwaite two miles to the west. Killinghall is located on the A61 making it convenient for travel to Harrogate or Ripon.
Army Apprentices School, Harrogate
The Army Apprentices School, Harrogate (AAS Harrogate), established in 1947, was sited either side of Penny Pot Lane, outside Harrogate using Uniacke and Hildebrande Barracks. The School was renamed the Army Apprentices College, Harrogate (AAC Harrogate) in 1966 (in line with other such establishments) and thus remained so until its eventual closure after the Final Graduation Parade on 2 August 1996 of intake 94C.

The Army Foundation College in Harrogate (abbreviated AFC) trains future soldiers from the infantry, armoured corps, artillery and elements of the Royal Logistic Corps (RLC). School-leavers aged between 16 and 17 years and five months of age are eligible to join. The AFC(H) offers young men and women the opportunity to learn as they earn experience in battle. Through military training and vocational education, soldiers under training gain the soldiering skills needed for the British Army.
RHS Garden Harlow Carr
The Royal Horticultural Society's garden Harlow Carr is one of four public gardens run by the Society. It is located on the western edge of Harrogate in the English county of North Yorkshire The garden is the most recent addition to the RHS, acquired by the merger of the Northern Horticultural Society with the RHS in 2001. It had been the Northern Horticultural Society's trial ground and display garden since they bought it in 1946.
St George's House, Harrogate
St George's House, originally called the Northern Police Orphanage was located on Otley Road, Harrogate, Yorkshire, England. The Orphanage was founded in 1898 by Miss Catherine Gurney for the care and welfare of Northern Police Force children who had lost one or both parents. The children were housed in a building located on 12 acres of land on Otley Road, Harrogate.
Ripley Castle
Ripley Castle is a Grade I listed 14th century country house in Ripley, North Yorkshire, England, some 5 km (3 miles) north of Harrogate. The house is built of coursed squared gritstone and ashlar with grey slate and stone slate roofs. A central 2-storey block is flanked by a tower at one end and a 3-storey wing at the other.
