Appleton East and West
Appleton East and West is a civil parish in the Richmondshire district of North Yorkshire, England. It contains the villages East Appleton and West Appleton, and had a population of 76 according to the 2001 census. The settlement consists of two farms, with several water bodies in the area. Hornby Castle, Yorkshire
Hornby Castle, Yorkshire is a grade I listed fortified manor house on the edge of Wensleydale between Bedale and Leyburn. Originally 14th century, it has been remodelled in the 15th, 18th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble with lead and stone slate roofs. The present building is the south range of a larger complex, the rest of which has been demolished.

Marne Barracks, formerly RAF Catterick, is a former Royal Air Force airfield located near Catterick, North Yorkshire in England. It is located alongside the A1 on the outskirts of Catterick Village. Operationally it falls under the command of Catterick Garrison. It currently houses 5th Regiment Royal Artillery and the 1st Battalion Mercian Regiment.
