Bristol International Balloon Fiesta
The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta is held annually during August in Bristol, England. Teams from the UK and other parts of the world bring their hot air balloons to the site and participate in mass ascents where as many as 100 balloons may launch at a time. The event was first held in 1979 and is now one of the largest in Europe. It is common to have crowds of over 100,000 on each of the four days of the festival. It takes place in a large country estate Ashton Court.

Leigh Woods National Nature Reserve
Leigh Woods is a 2 square kilometre (490 acre) area of woodland on the south-west side of the Avon Gorge, opposite the English city of Bristol and north of the Ashton Court estate. It has been designated as a National Nature Reserve. Small mountain biking circuits are present in the woods and the area is a popular walking area for Bristolians. Part of the woodland was donated to the National Trust in 1909 by George Alfred Wills, to prevent development of the city beside the gorge.

Leigh Court
Leigh Court is a country house which is a Grade II* listed building in Abbots Leigh, Somerset, England. The manor of Leigh at the time of the Norman Conquest belonged to the lordship of Bedminster but William the Conqueror awarded it to the Bishop of Coutances. The manor house was given in 1118 by Robert Fitzharding to become a house of rest for the abbot and monks of St Augustine's Monastery in Bristol and as "Abbot's Leigh" it was destinguished from other places named "Leigh".
Portway, Bristol
The Portway is a trunk road, approximately 6.5 miles long, which links central Bristol, England, with its port at Avonmouth. It is part of the A4 road, which was the primary east west highway in Southern England before the construction of the M4 motorway. The road starts at Hotwells and runs through the Avon Gorge, under the Clifton Suspension Bridge, parallel to the serpentine path of the River Avon.
Bristol International Kite Festival
The Bristol International Kite Festival, full name Bristol International Festival of Kites & Air Creations, is held annually during September in Bristol, England. It takes place at the Ashton Court estate, which is owned by Bristol City Council, although it is actually in the district of North Somerset. Entry is free but there is a charge for car parking. The festival started in 1986 and celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2011. In 1991, the festival hosted the World Cup Sport Kite Championship.

Lamplighters Marsh is a public open space near Shirehampton in the city of Bristol, England. It is a narrow strip of land between the railway line which connects Bristol to Avonmouth, and the River Avon. The site contains two main types of vegtation: an area of marsh, which contains a varied plant community, including Water Parsnip and Wild Celery, and an area of wasteland which is also botanically notable, with species including Narrow-leaved Everlasting-pea.
